Choir rehearsal update: No spitballs were launched in the making of this photo.

We're actually practicing straw phonation, a vocal exercise that helps strengthen and care for our voices so we can better lead worship.

Want to join the fun? Summer Pickup Choir is Back!

Join us every Sunday in August at 9:00 AM in the choir room.

No audition. No Wednesday rehearsals. No music-reading experience required.

Just bring your voice and a willingness to sing!

Make a Difference This Summer!

Youth Mission Week is coming June 22–26, 2026, from 9:00 AM–3:00 PM!

Join us as we serve alongside local mission partners throughout Catawba County:

Monday – Ashure Ministries
Tuesday – Corner Table
Wednesday – FPC Men of the Church Workgroup
Thursday – Family Care Center of Hickory
Friday – Hickory Soup Kitchen

This is a wonderful opportunity to put your faith into action, serve our community, and discover how God is at work right here in Catawba County.

Bring a packed lunch each day.

We rejoice with our brothers and sisters in Guatemala on the baptism of Amilde, daughter of Alber and Edilma!

Loving God,

We pray for those who do not yet know Your love and grace. Open hearts to Your presence and help people see Jesus through the words, actions, and lives of Your followers.

Give us courage to share the hope we have found in Christ, wisdom to listen well, and compassion to love others as You love them.

May those who are searching find truth, those who are hurting find comfort, and those who are lost discover the peace and purpose that can only be found in You.

Draw all people closer to You, Lord, and help us be faithful witnesses to Your love.

In Jesus’ name we pray,

Mission Co-Worker Visit Recap

It was a joy to welcome John McCall to FPC Newton this past Sunday! We were blessed to hear about his decades of ministry and mission work in Taiwan, as well as the ways he continues to serve and support churches and leaders around the world.

Thank you, John, for sharing your stories, your faith, and your passion for God's work beyond our walls. We are grateful for the reminder that the Church is connected across cultures, countries, and continents through Christ.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for worship and fellowship as we learned more about how God is at work around the world.
