Heavenly Father,

On this Thursday morning, we are thankful to be gathered together in prayer. May we always remember how blessed we are to pray as a school family every morning.

Lord, we ask that you walk with these students today. Guide them to be considerate of their classmates and their teachers by choosing to listen more than they speak and to thank those who help them in any way.

Thank you for the good health of these students and teachers. In thanksgiving for this good health, we pray for those who are sick, recovering or lonely, that they find whatever they need to make a full recovery.

We ask for courage for the leaders of nations around the world to help them choose peace instead of war whenever possible.

Thank you for the example of Mother Teresa. Help us to do small things throughout our day that share the love of Christ with others.

For those who have died, especially Maryann Donsbach, that they are celebrating in heaven today.

Amen

GOD IS GOOD – ALL THE TIME!

St. Thomas Parents: Picture day will NOT be tomorrow!

Good evening. Unfortunately, late this afternoon, we were notified that our picture day, tomorrow, had to be postponed. We were not given a reason. We will let you know as soon as possible what the new date will be. So sorry for any trouble this causes.
Thanks,
Jill

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for bringing us safely to a new school day. Bless all of our students, teachers, and families as we learn and grow together.

Help us practice the virtue of consideration. Opening our hearts to notice the needs of others, to listen kindly, to share willingly, and to treat everyone with patience and respect.

We pray for all those who are sick, hurting, or recovering today. Touch them with Your healing grace and give them comfort and strength.

We also lift up our world to You. Bring peace where there is conflict, hope where there is suffering, and wisdom to leaders everywhere.

Guide our words, thoughts, and actions today so that everything we do brings honor to You.

Amen.

Father in Heaven,

On this warm, fall morning, we thank you for all that we have and all the good that will happen today. Help us to look for the good in not only the events of the day but in the people we share our day with.

Our prayer today includes gratitude for all who planned, worked and attended the St. Thomas Harvest Picnic, showing their support for our parish. May all have fond memories of the day.

Today, we remember our friends and family who have died. We pray that they are enjoying their forever homes in heaven.

Thank you for the good health of these students and teachers. For those who are sick or not themselves this morning, we pray for blessings of healing and strength.

As the gospel of Luke tells us today, help us to turn our focus from the outside beauty and work on cleansing ourselves from the inside, striving for goodness and consideration as we work through our days.

Lord, we pray for world leaders and our leaders here in the U.S., that they are able to work together to find solutions to the violence happening everywhere. May God’s guidance bring us closer to peace.

Thank you, Lord, for our school! May today be filled with learning and growing in our faith.

For any special prayers close to our hearts this morning…

Amen

GOD IS GOOD – ALL THE TIME!
