Newton: Year 1

Today we celebrated our 1st year with Crossings Community Church, and it was an amazing morning; we had over 70 people, our state pastor, Ralph, was with us, we had wonderful worship that included communion, we took a family photo, there was a timeline and memory wall in the foyer, and there was balloons, cake and punch!!!

Rhonda and I have had a blast this first year, and we both agree that this journey we are on truly is a God thing, and IT IS AWESOME!!!

This page was created to tell the story of our first year back home in Kansas. We have shared both personal and ministry pictures and stories, but our first year is over and our second one is beginning, so this will be my final post.

Our first Taste of Newton did not disappoint. Pork chop… apple cobbler & ice cream… root beer from the tap… kettle corn… cream puff… street corn…

Best part was seeing friends, sharing the table and listening to the Newton Railers Drum Line!!!

Tonight we hosted our monthly campfire… we had 50 people… homemade pies… and family!!! Jordan, Catie & Ollie, and Rhonda’s dad and step-mom, Dwane and Sue.

Rhonda and I have been OCC supporters for years. Jordan and Justin packed boxes when they were kids. We have led shoe box drives at all our churches. And look what the UPS delivery driver dropped off… OCC supplies!!!

God blessed us with our house here in Newton, and we are working to turn it into our forever home; and we are creating a place for family. Last night we hosted our first Monday Night Football gathering. The games were good, the food was delicious, and spending time with church family was the blessing of the night!!!
