8:00 AM - Holy Eucharist (Rite 1)
9:00 AM - Christ Education for all ages
10:00 AM - Choral Eucharist (Rite 2)

We are the Episcopal Church in the the heart of Sussex County. As part of that effort, we look for new ways to bring Christ's teachings to Sussex County. Children are we

lcome and encouraged to participate in worship as well as in our growing Christian Education program. Music is an important and vital part of our ministry of worship. The Senior Choir, under the direction of Joseph Mello and the Children's Choir, directed by Deborah Mello, provide musical leadership regularly for the 10:00 service and special services throughout the year. Christ Church is the oldest church in Newton and the second oldest in the Diocese of Newark. The parish traces its origin to December 29, 1769 when a Congregation in Communion with the Church of England was organized in what was then called New Town. The parish was incorporated by royal charter on August 15, 1774. Today that sheepskin charter hangs under glass on the wall of the nave. We look forward to seeing you in church!
