New Creation Fellowship Church You are welcome here, as we journey together, discerning how to follow Jesus more faithfully. Together we became known as the Shalom Communities.)

New Creation Fellowship Church was born in 1973 out of earnest desires for a daily walk with Jesus, an authentic worship of God and a genuine community of faith. New Creation joined the Western District (of the General Conference Mennonite Church) in 1973 and developed close connections to several church communities.* Worship space at first was in homes. In 1989, worship began in the beautiful Sis

ter Frieda Chapel at 221 Muse. Over the years, this earnestness has led to various forms of nurturing faith and community. Ongoing forms include participatory worship, small groups, mutual aid, congregational meetings, outreach/mission projects, appointed leadership, Sunday school for age 3-100. Newer forms include a mentoring program, spiritual direction groups, a men's group and adult study groups. Previous forms include extended family households, a construction crew and a common treasury. We rejoice that the Spirit of God is still drawing us together and leading us in creating new history. (*Notably Reba Place in Evanston, Illinois; Fellowship of Hope in Elkhart, Indiana, and Plow Creek in Tiskilwa, Illinois.
