Dear Epiphany family,
I pray this message finds you well as we enter the final week of the Easter season. Below you will find our weekly update with information about upcoming gatherings, ministries, and events at Epiphany.
1. Feast of Pentecost
This Sunday, we will gather at Epiphany to celebrate the Feast of Pentecost. Pentecost is the Christian celebration of the gift of the Holy Spirit to the disciples, the birth of the Church, and the beginning of its mission in the world. It is a feast of renewal, courage, unity, and hope, reminding us that God continues to be present and active among us—guiding, inspiring, and calling us to serve others in love.
Because of this, Pentecost is often associated with the symbols of fire, wind, and the color red, representing the power and movement of the Holy Spirit within the life of the Church and the transformation of community.
We warmly invite you to join us this Sunday as we celebrate this important feast. We encourage everyone to wear red as a sign of joy and remembrance of our shared calling to move beyond the walls of the church and serve others in Christ’s name.
Let us pray:
Holy Spirit, come into our lives and prepare our hearts to celebrate Pentecost. Open our minds to your light, strengthen our will to do what is good, and teach us to live with love, peace, and courage. May this feast renew our hope, draw us closer to one another, and make us ready to serve with joy. Amen.
2. Multicultural Center Gatherings at Epiphany
As we conclude our spring semester at the multicultural center, several of our programs will pause for the summer as we focus our energy on Epiphany’s Vacation Bible School and other seasonal ministries.
Final Spanish Classes

Thursday at 6:00 p.m. (A1) at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Lincolnton
English Classes (A1–A2)
English classes will resume in August.
Please note that The Rev. Rozo will be away with family next week. Therefore, all gatherings at the multicultural center will be canceled during that time.
3. Adult Bible Studies
We gather twice each week to prayerfully reflect on the Scripture readings for the coming Sunday.
Wednesdays at 4:00 p.m. — Online Bible Study

4. Wednesday Evening Prayer
Join us this Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. for Evening Prayer. Evening Prayer is a quiet and reflective service offered at the close of the day, giving us time to offer thanks, pray together, and prepare our hearts for the night ahead.
5. Epiphany Playground
We give thanks for the new playground in front of our church. We pray that it will become a place where children and families can gather, create joyful memories, and deepen relationships within our community.
As you pass by the church, we invite you to pray that this space may always remain safe, welcoming, and filled with joy. A special liturgy to bless the playground is being planned for the near future.
6. Vestry Meeting
Our next vestry meeting will take place on May 21 at 6:00 p.m. in the church library. Those who are able are invited to bring a dish to share.
7. Hart Square Hike
We invite you to join us on Thursday, June 11 at 10:00 a.m. for a hike and time of fellowship at Hart Square Village in Hickory.
Access to the Hart Square grounds requires a $20.00 entrance fee. If you would like to participate but are unable to pay the fee, please reach out to Rev. Rozo privately.
We will meet at the Hart Square parking lot at 10:00 a.m. Please wear comfortable walking shoes, bring a water bottle, and come ready to enjoy a fun and refreshing time together in nature.

8. Church Outing to the Hickory Crawdads Game
Join us on July 19 and July 26 for a fun church outing as we gather to watch the Hickory Crawdads baseball team play together.
Ticket prices range from $11 to $17 per person. If you would like to attend but are unable to cover the cost of a ticket, please contact Rev. Rozo confidentially.
We hope you will join us for an evening of fellowship, community, and baseball!

We ask your prayers for all who are in need: for those who feel hopeless, for the sick, for those who are imprisoned or oppressed, and for all who seek the light and peace of God.
We especially ask your prayers for the family of Jayne Turner. May she rest in peace and rise in glory.

Send your Holy Spirit to strengthen our minds and warm our hearts, that we may not grow weary in the life of discipleship. Help us to live as people of the Risen Christ: speaking kindness, forgiving freely, and loving without fear.
We ask this through Jesus Christ, our Risen Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

1. Fiesta de Pentecostés
Este domingo nos reuniremos en Epiphany para celebrar la Fiesta de Pentecostés. Pentecostés es la celebración cristiana del don del Espíritu Santo a los discípulos, el nacimiento de la Iglesia y el comienzo de su misión en el mundo. 2. Reuniones del Centro Multicultural en Epiphany
Mientras concluimos nuestro semestre de primavera en el centro multicultural, varios de nuestros programas harán una pausa durante el verano para que podamos dedicar más tiempo y energía a la Escuela Bíblica de Vacaciones (VBS) de Epiphany y a otros ministerios de temporada.

4. Oración Vespertina de los Miércoles
Les invitamos este miércoles a las 6:00 p.m. a nuestro servicio de Oración Vespertina. La Oración Vespertina es un servicio tranquilo y reflexivo que se ofrece al final del día para dar gracias, orar juntos y preparar nuestros corazones para la noche.
5. Parque Infantil de Epiphany
Damos gracias por el nuevo parque infantil frente a nuestra iglesia. Oramos para que este lugar se convierta en un espacio donde niños y familias puedan reunirse, crear recuerdos alegres y fortalecer las relaciones dentro de nuestra comunidad.
Cuando pasen frente a la iglesia, les invitamos a orar para que este lugar sea siempre seguro, acogedor y lleno de alegría. Próximamente tendremos una liturgia especial para bendecir el parque infantil.
6. Reunión de la Junta Parroquial (Vestry)
Nuestra próxima reunión de la junta parroquial tendrá lugar el 21 de mayo a las 6:00 p.m. en la biblioteca de la iglesia. Invitamos a quienes puedan hacerlo a traer un plato para compartir.
7. Caminata en Hart Square
Les invitamos a acompañarnos el jueves 11 de junio a las 10:00 a.m. para una caminata y un tiempo de convivencia en Hart Square Village en Hickory.
El acceso a los terrenos de Hart Square requiere un costo de entrada de $20.00 por persona. Si desea participar pero no puede cubrir el costo, por favor comuníquese confidencialmente con el Rev. Rozo.

8. Salida de la Iglesia al Juego de los Hickory Crawdads
