Immanuel Baptist Church of Newton is excited to welcome Landon Lindow as our summer intern for 2026! Landon is a student at Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, and plans to graduate in May of 2027 with a pastoral degree. He and his wife Kalli will be moving to Newton very soon and are expecting their first baby in December.
During his time at IBC Landon will regularly teach at the Wednesday night prayer meeting, organize a variety of projects, including an outreach event, and help out wherever else he is needed.
“I hope to get hands-on experience for the personal spiritual care of a flock, get more practice preaching, and grow in my organizational abilities for the oversight aspect of pastoring,” Landon says. “I hope to help grow the body in their reliance upon God and knowledge of the Word.”
While attending FBBC, Landon worked security for the college, as well as working at PDI, a cold storage warehouse for Hy Vee. But his first (and favorite job – probably) was at Chick-fil-A where he met Kalli! (and if you follow Chick-fil-A Ankeny on social media, Landon might look familiar, as he often appears in the reels they post) Kalli currently works as the volunteer coordinator at Alpha Women’s Center in Ankeny.
Landon was born in Littleton, IL, and moved to Lakeland, FL with his parents and eight siblings when he was 10. His dad, Larry, is a pastor and bus driver, and his mom, Lisa, manages a school lunchroom. Landon came to know Jesus Christ as his Savior when he was 6 years old.
