Dear Church Family,
I hope this message finds you well as we reflect on our incredible VBS Celebration service. What a joy it was to see our sanctuary filled with children, families, and volunteers who poured their hearts into this week of learning about God's transformative love.
The sermon explored the profound truth that God's love is not pretend, temporary, or something we must earn, it is real, saving, and transforming. Through four key passages from Romans, we journeyed through the complete Gospel story: God's love as a free gift we cannot earn, the transforming power that changes us from the inside out, the saving grace demonstrated at the cross while we were still sinners, and our calling to share this life-changing message with a hurting world. The implications for our spiritual life are clear: we are called not just to know about God, but to be genuinely changed by Him and to boldly share His love with others.
Takeaways:
God's love is a gift, not wages. Romans 6:23 reminds us that while sin earns death, God offers eternal life freely through Jesus Christ. We cannot work for salvation; we can only receive it by faith. This truth frees us from the exhausting pursuit of earning God's approval.
True faith transforms us from the inside out. Romans 12:2 calls us to be transformed, not conformed to the world. When Jesus truly changes us, it shows in our words, attitudes, relationships, and priorities not because we are trying harder, but because God is working within us.
No one is beyond God's grace. Romans 5:8 declares that Christ died for us while we were still sinners at our worst, not our best. The cross proves that God knows us fully and still loves us completely, making salvation available to anyone who trusts in Jesus.
As we transition from VBS back into our regular rhythms, let us carry this message forward. The world around us is filled with people carrying fear, pain, pressure, and burdens. We have the Good News they desperately need. May we never be ashamed of the Gospel, for it is still the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.
If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, I encourage you to take that step today. Salvation is not about perfect words but genuine faith. Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.
