Braceville 2076 Time Capsule — Be Part of History!
We’re sealing Braceville’s official 2076 Time Capsule at the America 250 Grand Finale Celebration on July 26 — and YOU can be part of it.
Bring a small item, photo, letter, artwork, or message of hope to represent life in 2026. Your voice, your family, your story — remembered when the capsule opens in 2076.

Special Archive Paper is available at the Braceville Fire Department if you want to write your memoir ahead of time!

To ensure your message endures, we recommend using a No. 2 pencil. Pencil markings do not deteriorate over time. Regular inks may fade or break down before the capsule is opened, making your message difficult to read. If you prefer to use ink, craft stores such as Hobby Lobby offer affordable Archival Pens designed for long term preservation.
Please bring your Time Capsule “Message to the Future” to the Braceville America 250 Grand Finale Celebration submission table, located at the Braceville Fire/Police/Service area, on July 26, 2026, between 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM.

Join us This Sunday, July 5th, as welcome our new pastor, Rev. Lisa Courtwright. Rev. Lisa will be leading our 9 am worship starting this week and we look forward to her being with us.

In addition, we want to thank Rev. Marilyn Coney, Rev. Vern Shepherd, and Kaila Mahoney for filling our pulpit until her arrival.

Mark you calendar!!
Next Sunday, June 14th at 2:00, the Braceville Historical Society and the Mary Chesney Chapter NSDAR are dedicating a bench in memory of the eighteen American Revolution soldiers buried in Braceville Cemetery. A nice ceremony is planned. Hope to see many of you there, and bring your lawn chair.

EFFECTIVE NEXT SUNDAY - April 12th!

In preparation of the arrival of Rev. Lisa Courtwright to lead us in July, we are returning to our 9 am worship time.

Leading our service next Sunday will be Kaila Mohney of the Howland United Methodist Church. Kaila is entering the candidacy process to become at pastor in the UMC and will be in our pulpit for several weeks. When Kaila is unavailable, we have retired elders Rev. Marilyn Coney and Rev. Vern Shepherd bringing the morning message.

If you want to hear Gabby Darrin preach "one more time" - then Easter Sunday (4/5) will be your opportunity. She has accepted a position as music director with her dad's church in Carrollton and will be starting there immediately the following week. While missing us and the worship leader position, Gabby feels transitioning to music director in Carrollton will provide a balance between serving and continuing to teach. We wish her well and success in her new role.
