Today is 1st Sunday in Advent. I lit the 1st candle of Hope. The hope of Jesus' birth lies in the promise of redemption, forgiveness, and new life, demonstrating that God entered the world as a human to be with people. It offers a "thrill of hope" by fulfilling Old Testament prophecies and bringing a new kingdom of eternal life and peace, assuring humanity of God's promise and love. His birth signifies the beginning of a way to overcome sin, and the promise that life is not over, as "with God, the best is yet to come".
