🔥 We find the city of Babylon in Genesis chapter 11 when the people come together to build The Tower of Babel because they seemed to have forgotten the command God had given them.

Later on in the book of Daniel we see the city is still existing and was a power at the time. They had just invaded Jerusalem which led to King Nebuchadnezzar ordering that Daniel and his three friends be brought to Babylon.

What the first 6 chapters of the book of Daniel teach us is simple: We can and we must stand for God even when the culture around us refuses to.

Daniel was given no choice but to live in Babylon, but he understood that he didn't belong to Babylon.

🔥 **FUN FACT:** Daniel is one of the Bible's earliest and most influential examples of end time prophecy. Its visions of kingdoms, the coming kingdom of God, resurrection, and the end of the age became imagery for later biblical prophecy, including the book of Revelation.

God uses every season, challenge, and step of the journey to shape us for what He has ahead. We are so thankful for time in His presence!
