UPDATE!
We wanted to give everyone an update on how things have been going since we made the original post below. In a little over 48 hours, several donations have been sent to help with the building, totaling just over $3,400. We are so appreciative of every donation and every prayer. ALC and Pastor Schroader are overwhelmed by the love and response the original post has received.
After what has been given, there is about $18,600 that remains to reach the $22,000 goal. If you feel led to give, the link is located in the original post. We know this is a large goal and not something we would normally bring to a platform like this. However, we believe God has presented this opportunity to the church, and we want to follow as He leads. Apostolic Life Church prays that the Lord blesses everyone who has shown support in any way. “MAKE ROOM”
Greetings! My name is Tyler Schroader. In September 2024, God commissioned my wife, Erika, our son Malachi, and me to start an Apostolic church in the beautiful city of Newport, AR.
In March of 2025, we stepped out in faith, with our pastors blessing, and signed the lease on an older storefront building in Newport.
We remodeled it to the best of our ability with our own hands, along with the help of our church family in Jonesboro at Faith Tabernacle. It hasn’t been perfect — we’ve faced water intrusion, HVAC breakdowns, and more repairs than we can count. But through it all, God has been faithful.
Though our location is somewhat tucked away, the Lord has connected us with precious souls in our community. We have watched Him draw people. We have reached into broken homes, ministered to those battling addiction, and connected with both young and old. We have truly seen lives touched — and we know this is only the beginning!
As we have prayed about the future — about visibility, growth, and space for the ministries God is placing in our hearts — the Lord opened an unexpected door. Earlier this year, the Lord placed in my spirit the words, “Move when God moves.” I believe this is exactly that.
We were connected with a sweet older couple who own a beautiful church facility that they are offering to sell to us at a well-below-market value — complete with:
• A large sanctuary
• Sunday school classrooms
• A baptistry
• A parsonage
• A full kitchen and fellowship hall
• All equipment, sound etc.
We have spoken with a bank in our community about purchasing this property.
We now need to raise an additional $22,000 for our desired down payment.
We do not normally ask for help, but we feel led to invite those who believe in what God is doing in Newport to pray — and give as the Lord leads.
This is not about a building.
It’s about souls.
It’s about revival.
It’s about making room.
