Lori is going in for a scope at noon today to see if she can have a stint placed over the surgical site to speed up the healing process. Please pray that they are able to place the stint, but above all else that God’s will be done!

Tonya went to be with Jesus around 4:30ish and is no longer fighting with pain. My heart is heavy for her family. Family knows this time will come, but the when it comes it catches you off guard. But, God gave her the ultimate Healing. God her family so going to need you more right now then anything. Prayers for Peace and Comfort during this time.

Tonya and her Family could you all your prayers you got. This is from her husband Carol Delks

I had to make a very hard decision yesterday. One I did not make easily or on my own. Thank you Yvette Ann Sollars and Kali Doan for being with me through it. We had Tonia moved to hospice.
Friday night they did pretty much nothing for her. She had to lie all night in pain. I'm not saying this to badmouth the staff. There are rules and protocols that they must follow. Im just explaining why this decision was made. The doctors have been vague and not very detailed with info on her condition. But yesterday morning I was told that her condition was not improving. In so many words there just was not anything else they could do for her. Hospitals are not the place for indefinite care. I get it. We were being urged to discuss a plan moving forward. If the prognosis was a good one and they were fairly certain she could come back from this, I feel confident they would have told us that. But they werent.
No one wants to say goodbye, but even more none of us can bare to watch her suffer. AT least in hospice they can do more to keep her comfortable. Throughout all this Tonia's faith only grew stronger. She believes God has her back. As we were considering whether or not to do this. Yvette pointed out that if she was meant to pull through this she could do it where ever she was. And this decision can be undone at any time.
Hospice has no visitation restrictions themselves. I would suggest visiting between 6 am and 8 pm, because the main entrance doors are locked at night and entry is complicated. I am very appreciative of the staff and would prefer this not turn into a circus and we overstay our welcome or be a nuisance. If you want to visit her, please, dont come in large groups and please be respectful and considerate of others. Also, please dont leave trash.
I know we previously asked people to not visit, but at this point I dont know if it makes that much difference. She loved so many people and so many people loved her. I hate the thought of her possibly feeling alone in this. I think she would really enjoy all the love. I just ask again, that anyone coming please be considerate of all others who will be at the hospital, staff and patients.
She is in room 5003. It is in the old part of Union Hospital(Building 2). Fifth floor. I work there so I know there are a lot of handicapped and sick people coming and going all day and it can be congested. Once again, please keep your group small and please be considerate of patients and staff. And please dont bring gifts or flowers. She already has many and it will all be more we have to deal with in an already difficult time.
