A long time former member of the Newport Ward, Bob Moppert, was in a plane crash. The family has set up a go fund me account to help with medical expenses if you feel like you can help in any way.

There is an opportunity or not. You can decide. There are a bunch of logs from the fires over in Lyons (which is by Stayton) last summer. They are free for the taking. You can have them all for firewood or possibly as a fund raiser or just to make money for yourself. You would have to cut up and haul. There are lots of them. The family are trying to get rid of them so that they can rebuild their home that they lost in the fire. If interested contact me.

Just a reminder that ward members are encouraged to invite the ward missionaries to share a 30-minute lesson or thought any evening between 7 and 9pm.
You can also invite the missionaries to share a meal on weekends and holidays. For other days, meals may be provided to the missionaries to have on their own, which allows them to spend less time preparing meals.
