This Sunday we are kicking off the Season of Creation! 🌳🌬💧🌻🌎🌽🏡
This worship series centers God as Creator, who blesses us with a beautiful world full of all the things we need for life. We remember the words of Psalm 24:1 "The earth is the Lord’s, and all within it." We will pause to consider the ways humanity has failed in our task to care for the world as God intended; and we will rejoice that God is still creating and re-creating, making all things new!
Please join in the celebration Sundays at 11am at Newport-Mt Olivet UMC.

Donna's Backpacks is back for its 16th year!
Starting this week we will be providing weekend food bags for the students at Eastern Elementary. And WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Please help us fill our pantry each week by donations of in-kind items (needed items in the image below) or monetary donations.
We are also looking for volunteers who would like to pack and/or deliver the backpacks on Fridays. Please message us for more info!

Newport-Mt Olivet UMC had a great time at the Newport Ag Fair!!
Grateful to those who purchased Historic Newport T-shirts to support our ministry!

And several of our church members had a BLAST as fashion models to support Giles County Christian Service Mission All outfits were found at the Mission's thrift shop - highlighting the wonderful array of clothing and household items available at low cost to our community. The Mission is always seeking donations and volunteers as well as shoppers!
