Morning Prayer…
“Dead flies putrefy the perfumer’s ointment, And cause it to give off a foul odor; So does a little folly to one respected for wisdom and honor.” ~ Ecclesiastes 10:1
Father, thank You for exposing the folly in our life. Thank You purifying us from dead things that give off a foul odor. Cleanse us from a nasty disposition. Wash us from a haughty spirit. Deliver us from pride, ego, and vanity. Remind us of how we look without the Blood covering. Remind us that we are only righteous and holy in You. Remind us that we don’t have a Heaven nor hell to put anyone in. Remind us that we are to love and pray, earnestly, for others. Help us to not just go through the motions. Help us to not seek our rewards from mankind. Help us to direct all praise for the work You do through us, back to You where it belongs. Help us to keep our flesh in check and to not be moved by compliments and praise designed to redirect us from You. Help us to operate in godly wisdom and honor. Help us to not be positioned for a fall from grace because of secret sin hidden in our hearts. Cover and keep us. Lead and guide us. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen 🙏🏾
