World Victory Church and Life Center is a non-denominational, non-sectarian organization whose sole purpose is to glorify God. This is a teaching ministry embodying the philosophy of service to God through regular worship, study of the word, and community outreach. Programs are designed to minister to all persons without regard to age, race, s*x, social or educational background. Numerous WVCLC mi

nistries are offered on an on-going basis, in addition to Sunday morning fellowship. We believe that this ministry will succeed in direct proportion to the faith we hold in the Vision on which it was founded. Therefore, we humbly ask our members and many friends to support this ministry though fervent and unceasing prayer, commitment to our outreach programs and growth goals, and Personal witnessing to the work of the Holy Spirit in our church. At every service the church is open to receive new members. Conferences with the pastor may be scheduled by calling the church office at 757-245-5446

What Do You Do With Grace?

The psalmist asks one of the most honest questions in the Bible:

"What shall I render unto the Lord for all His benefits toward me?"

How do you respond when you've received something you can never repay?

How do you respond to mercy?

How do you respond to grace?

The answer isn't guilt.

The answer isn't pressure.

The answer is gratitude.

And genuine gratitude always moves us toward commitment.

The Real Reason God Hears Us

Many people assume God's attention must be earned.

Be good enough.
Pray enough.
Do enough.
Try harder.

But Psalm 116 tells a different story.

The psalmist wasn't celebrating how faithful he had been.
He was celebrating how merciful God had been.

God's mercy always comes before our response.

That's good news for every imperfect person.

Most people have prayed a prayer they weren't sure anyone heard.

A prayer whispered in a hospital room

A prayer prayed through tears.

A prayer offered when there was nowhere else to turn.

Psalm 116 begins with a simple declaration:

"I love the Lord, because He has heard my voice..."

This Sunday we'll discover why God's mercy—not our performance—is the reason we can know He hears us.
