ONE SERMON. EIGHT LIFE DOMAINS.
You may not hear me talk about all eight life domains in every Sunday sermon.
But that doesn't mean the Word doesn't speak to all eight.
At World Victory, when we talk about living the Gospel from belief to everyday life, we mean the whole life.
What does God's Word have to say about:
our Spiritual Life
our Self-Image
our Healthy Relationships
our Work & Vocation
our Health & Wellness
our Personal Finances
our Community Care & Social Impact
our Civic Engagement & Responsible Citizenship
This past Sunday I preached from Romans 12:1–8, “Offer Your Whole Life — I Believe It. Now What?”
During the sermon, I didn't preach eight separate messages about eight life domains—and I shouldn't!
But here's the question I've been thinking about:
> If God's Word speaks to our whole lives, how does the truth of this one sermon show up in each of these eight areas?
So I'm going to do something different.
Over my next eight posts, I'll take one truth or idea from Sunday's sermon and show how it connects directly to one of our eight life domains.
We'll talk about everything from getting off the comparison ladder, to healthy relationships, to not retiring your gifts, to money, health, community responsibility, justice, truth, and how Christians think and live in the world around us.
And here's what I hope happens:
The next time you hear a sermon, you won't only ask,
“Was that a good message?”
You'll also begin asking,
> “Where does God's Word show up in my everyday life?”
Because the Gospel was never intended to stay inside the sanctuary.
It is meant to be lived.
ONE SERMON. EIGHT LIFE DOMAINS.
Some connections may surprise you.
Stay with me. We're starting with Spiritual Life.
