Ivy Baptist Church IMAGE Men's Ministry We are the Ivy Men At God's Expense (IMAGE) Men's Ministry of Ivy Baptist Church, building a support system for men to grow to their full Godly potential.

We live in a day where masculinity is devalued and men are torn between following the footsteps of the first Adam and pursuing the model of the second Adam. However, the resounding question is: “What is a man?” We find the definition of masculinity in 1 Corinthians 15:45. Yet, today’s society distracts many of us from becoming the man God intends, so it is up to the church to lead men into Biblica

l Manhood. The first Adam abandoned the post of leadership. The second Adam chose to lead courageously. To lead courageously, a man must master his feelings (Proverbs 28:25). We must come naked and not ashamed! We welcome your joining the IMAGE Men's Ministry to become the Biblical Man you are destined to develop in fellowship. We look forward to growing as new men of Christ with you!

PHILOSOPHY

The world is stripping manhood from our men. The hearts and souls of men are being torn apart by media. Men are shown being bullied, frequently take beatings from society, and are often portrayed as juveniles on television. There is no longer a high image of masculinity and most men are afraid to admit when they are feeling the effects of these trials. An astounding 75% of men feel that they cannot share their feelings with anyone. We recognize there is a hunger out there that is not being satisfied. Jesus put his whole life into truth over feelings and that is why he could lead courageously. With great feeling, often times, comes great tragedy. Men must have a place to come together and talk about it – that place is the church! IMAGE provides a support system for men to grow fully to their Godly potential. (Proverbs 27:17 - "Iron sharpens iron")

Married and Engaged couples: signup to join the Vowkeepers in a study of “The Art of Marriage” April 5-19th. This is a great opportunity to build or renew the spiritual foundation of your marriage. The Vowkeepers will meet virtually on Friday's April 5th and 12th and will end with an in-person fellowship in the chapel on Friday 4/19th.
