Newport News, Virginia. We are established on love and unity under the leadership of our Senior Pastor Bishop James A. Blunt Sr. & Assistant Pastor Elder Sidney Nesmith Jr. Bishop James A. Blunt Sr. was called to the ministry in 1994 and ordained a Minister under the late (Bishop J.V. Lomax). He later answered the call to an Elder in 2005 under the late (Bishop Samuel L. Redden) and started pastor

ing in 2006 and ordained Bishop in 2011 to present. Bishop hasn’t served in ministry alone. We honor Bishop’s lovely wife and First Lady Vera A. Blunt who also plays a major role in ministry here at Highway. Lady Blunt also serves as the head leader of our Missionary Board Department. With open arms extended to our family, friends and community, it is with great honor to serve you, uplift, encourage and develop you through the teachings of our Lord Jesus Christ.

New Year’s Revival is upon us!

Mark your calendars for January 1–4, 2026 — 7:00 PM nightly and 11:00 AM on Sunday morning.

Our theme this year is:
“Let Me In”
Revelation 3:20
“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door,
I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”

We are excited to welcome three dynamic preachers who will deliver a powerful Word each night, and we will close out on Sunday morning with our very own Pastor, Bishop Parker.

19 years standing on the wall, preaching and teaching Gods word! The month of October we take this time to celebrate our Leaders, Bishop James A Blunt and beside him Lady Vera A Blunt. During this time we are usually doing fund raisers to help raise money for them, to show them how much we love and appreciate them. However no fundraising this year just asking that if are able to plant a seed into their lives, we would greatly appreciate it! No amount is too small. Please send all gifts to $HCCOCBF or inbox for more ways to give.

Let’s keep Bishop and First Lady Blunt in prayer, not only this month but in the years to come, that the Lord will continue to bless the Ministry!!!!
