🌱🐥 August was a month of growth, learning, and continued support for families.

This month, 595 chickens were distributed to 119 families, 588 kitchen gardens were constructed, and 24 home-based Bible studies were held. Students continued learning English, our team participated in career development training, and trainers made 9,367 home visits to follow up with and support families.

Even as August's intense dry conditions created challenges for crops and water in parts of Bugesera, the work continued.

As we move into September, we're building on that progress, sharing practical knowledge and helping families prepare for the next planting season. 🌱

When we receive Christ, God does more than forgive what we have done. We receive new life, and the Holy Spirit comes to dwell within us. The old lifestyle stays in the past.

To be spiritually minded means allowing God’s Word and the Holy Spirit to shape how we understand and respond to life. Galatians 5 shows us that the Spirit produces fruit that reflects the life of God.

What you think matters.

The crown of thorns wasn’t without meaning. Thorns first appeared as part of the curse in Genesis, and Pastor Wendy reminds us that Jesus took that curse upon His head.

We don’t have to surrender our minds to negative thinking. We can choose thoughts of faith and bring our thinking into agreement with the Word of God.
