Despite a municipal ordinance halting a massive MacArthur Boulevard installation, a dedicated group gathered Monday to protest the forcible deportation of Ukrainian children.

Standing with Ukrainian Children
We are honored that the Rev. Canon Cindy Evans Voorhees has been invited by the American Coalition for Ukraine, Razom for Ukraine, Globe 4 Ukraine, and Shield of Freedom to attend the Bring Kids Back Press Conference in Newport Beach on Monday, August 24, where she will be a guest speaker.
The event will feature a powerful installation of 20,000 teddy bears, representing Ukrainian children separated from their families and communities.
20,000 bears. 20,000 children.
Rev. Cindy will join community leaders and advocates in raising awareness for these children and expressing hope for their safe return to their families.
As a community of faith, St. James the Great is honored to stand for compassion, peace, and the dignity of every child.
