The Mimuna party welcomed 50 guests and was a wonderful success. The food was absolutely fabulous, and everyone enjoyed a lively performance by the belly dancer, followed by a fun dance lesson. It was truly an evening filled with joy and celebration - everyone had a fantastic time. The delicious food was expertly provided by Pom & Olive.

On Wednesday, March 4 from 12-1:30, WTBY will be celebrating a Rosh Chodesh led by Cantor Waltzman. Rosh Chodesh is traditionally considered a special day for women, often associated with a pause from everyday responsibilities. WTBY would very much like to include all TBY women members in this meaningful event. Please bring your lunch. Snack will be provided.

Dear Friends,
On behalf of all the WTBY Presidents, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to each and every one of you for your contributions to the WTBY Oneg. It was truly a tremendous success!

Thanks to your hard work and generosity, our congregants stayed well over an hour after services—enjoying the delicious main courses, side dishes, and especially the desserts. The food was outstanding, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. It was clear how much everyone appreciated the effort that went into making the evening so special.

Your dedication helped create a memorable experience for our temple community, and we are deeply grateful.

With appreciation,
The WTBY Presidents (Naomi, Sherrill, Phylis)

Our Rosh Chodesh today was titled "If you thought Esther could dance, look out for Ruth. Come and learn Ruth's choreography." Wow! Did we ever have a great learning experience with Cantor Ecker leading us through the prayer book. Thank you for such an enlightening experience!

Rosh Chodesh - HEAD OF THE MONTH (Literal translation from Hebrew), is the beginning of the month - New moon. Rosh Chodesh is celebrated mainly by women in tribute to women of the ancient days, who had faith in God and Moses
and refused to relinquish their jewelry, as an offering, to the Golden calf which their men worshiped. As a reward, God gave the women an additional holiday to be celebrated at the beginning of every month. In modern days, Rosh Chodesh is a great opportunity for Jewish women to come together, explore religious education, spirituality, ritual, health issues and other topics important to women.
