Regardless of what we are experiencing in life, there is a fountain of love, joy, and peace awaiting for us in the Lord. It is a fountain that flows freely and abundantly. Today, even in the midst of the chaos and stress, may we choose to rest in the Everlasting Fountain that will never run dry.

Life is a journey. During this journey, we experience many twists, turns, tough uphill climbs, and valleys. If we can agree on one thing, I think it would be this: Life is uncertain.

We have no idea of what the journey holds before us. Why is it then that we find ourselves trying to map out the future? It seems kind of silly when you think about it, for we cannot foresee what lies ahead. Besides, often times when we think about the journey ahead of us, it can be tempting to become anxious, fearful, worried, etc, all the while missing out on the beauties the Father wants to unfold to us in this moment.

The Father has called His children to walk through this journey differently. Rather than looking ahead and attempting to manipulate the future, He desires us to live moment by moment resting in His embrace full of peace. As we look to him one moment at a time, attentive to His presence in our lives, He will guide us through the situations, problems, and choices that continually surround us on a daily basis. Living life this way takes our focus off of the situations/problems/choices and places our focus on the One who is Sovereign over all events and people.

Peace does not come from attempting to control the situations/problems/choices around us, but rather resting in the strong Almighty One who is able to carry us through all situations with a love, joy, and a peace that passes all comprehension.

Today and each day may we live moment by moment resting in the Father’s embrace and trusting Him to be our guide as we journey through life.

The Lord always has a purpose for what He calls you to read in His Word. This morning, I was reading out of 1 Corinthians 3 and it coincided perfectly with what the Lord was reminding Chris and me last night with a ministry opportunity we are about to embark on over the next few weeks.

When ministering to others, we desire to see change take place within them as a way to validate within ourselves that maybe we did something right. The reality is, however, sometimes we see change take place within people and sometimes we do not, at least not in a way we recognize. We cannot make someone change or grow. In fact, when we try to change people, we are essentially trying to play god in their life.

Instead of having the mentality of trying to change people, the Lord wants us to have a heart mentality of planting His seeds and trusting Him to produce the change within people. As we share His love and Word upon His leading, we are planting seeds of truth within individuals. In His time, the Lord will water those seeds. Sometimes we do not see the fruition of those seeds. Do not be discouraged, for the Lord promises that the seeds you plant today will not be wasted (Isaiah 55:11). When He leads us to share His truth, it will accomplish what He set out for it to accomplish. We may not be able to recognize it, but God is at work with the seeds we plant.

As you plant seeds (at church, at work, at home, etc.) today, may you stand in faith and not grow weary that God is going to use the seeds He has led you to plant!

Hurting. Heavy-burdened. Angry. These are the words that described one my precious clients, that is until today. Tired of remaining in bo***ge to her past, this young girl chose to walk through the process of forgiving someone who has deeply wounded her. As she embarked on forgiving this individual, she began to choke back tears as she was reminded of the hurt. While part of my heart ached for her as she relived the pain, another part of my heart saw beauty in the tears, for they symbolized her releasing the debts to the Lord. After she walked through forgiving this individual who wounded her, with a smile on her face, she told me she finally feels and knows she is FREE!

Forgiveness is a choice and it is powerful. Forgiveness IS NOT about explaining or justifying someone's rejecting behavior, denying that you have been hurt, saying that the passage of time or forgetting the offense heals the hurt, believing that you have to go to the offender, turning the other cheek or being nice, or not feeling angry anymore. Rather, forgiveness is about walking through the process of acknowledging the hurt and how it made you feel, releasing the person from the debt they owe you because it was paid in full by Christ, accepting the person unconditionally just as they are, and being willing to be hurt again.

As you continue your week, my prayer is that you will take a journey with the Lord and allow Him to show you if you have any unforgiveness in your heart. Together, let us make the choice to forgive and walk in the freedom of forgiveness.

Hello mighty warriors of God!

Yesterday was a day full of tears. The tears began as I walked alongside of a client who is grieving a loved one battling cancer. The tears ended my day as I finished the counseling process with two clients. Getting to share the journey with each boy and girl every day is more of a honor than I can express in words. Throughout the journey, I share tears, laughs, and truths. As I meet with each individual, a bond is developed through the privilege of hearing their deepest hurts, fears, and regrets. At the end of the journey comes the bittersweet moment of ending the counseling relationship. The moment is bitter as you think about how you will miss them being a part of your week, and how you will not continue to hear on a weekly basis what the Lord is doing in and through them. On a grander note, however, the moment is sweet as you rejoice with them the freedom they are experiencing in Christ.

At the end of the last session yesterday, a mom blessed my heart by telling me how much this journey has meant to her and their family’s life. As she shared with me the wondrous work of our Lord, I cried tears of joy in His handiwork and in the faithfulness of this ministry team. Thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing this journey of ministry with me. Thank you for your prayers, financial support, and for loving me where I am on my journey with Lord. Your role on this team is so valuable and needed. Together, God is using us to impact the Kingdom of God.

Praise the Lord!

With love, thankfulness, and tears of joy,

Lori

Ben and Ann Marie are part of the ministry where I also work at (Christian Families Today). As a staff, we raise our salary through generous individuals who believe in investing in the sharing of this beautiful truth of Jesus. While Ben and Ann Marie have health insurance, that will no where cover the costs of Katheryn's surgery or medical bills to come. As you are led by the Holy Spirit, please consider helping Ben and Ann Marie with the expenses related to her being at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, the physical therapy she will have to receive, and the chemotherapy and radiation treatments she will be receiving for up to ten months. Thank you so much!

We are hoping to raise $50,000 for support for Ben and AnnMarie Brezina to provide financial support for their medical and related expenses due little Katheryn's diagnosis with a brain tumor!
