During VBS the kids learned about the Burkhalter family, missionaries in Columbia. They work among the Embera people and are helping them battle both spiritual and economic poverty. Just $20 can feed a family of 4 for a week, so several of the Embera are making bead jewelry to sell. The Bead Project the kids heard about can be found here: https://reincorporated.org/pages/embera
