Scripture spends very little time celebrating crossings—and a lot of time showing what follows them.
In Joshua 3, Israel crosses the Jordan River as an entire nation. This is not an escape like the Red Sea, and it’s not a delay like the wilderness. This is a prepared people stepping forward after years of formation.
In this Bible study, we slow down in Joshua 3 to observe:
• What happens after God has already done amazing things
• How a new generation moves forward without panic or spectacle
• Why obedience comes before evidence at the Jordan
• What God expects after He makes a way
We also frame this moment between what comes before (God’s charge to Joshua, Rahab’s faith) and what comes after (Jericho), to see how Scripture treats transition with responsibility—not hype.
Key question:
When God moves powerfully in your life… what comes after?
