Domestic abuse and drug addiction often trap women in a dangerous, shifting cycle. Many women use drugs to cope with the pain and fear of a toxic partner. This combination makes leaving incredibly hard. She may face both the physical pain of withdrawal and the terrifying threat of partner violence at the exact same moment.
