What is TeamKID?
TeamKID is a high energy ministry that encourages kids to know Jesus Christ and to grow in relationship with Him.
What are the age groups?
TeamKID is designed for kids up to grade 6.
What do we do at TeamKID meetings?
Bible study, mission lessons, scripture memory, life application and recreation. The KID in TeamKID is capitalized because it stands for Kids In Discipleship. The goal is to disciple kids.
Kids are recognized every 3 months for attending meetings, completing Bible work, bring friends and learning memory verses. Kids earn stickers and can attend our TeamKID store every 3 months. They may “spend” their stickers on different items or they may choose to save their stickers for up to a year.
A TeamKID meeting consists of the following with each part flowing into the next to keep kids moving with non-stop energy:
• Warm-up is the opening activity that begins as soon as the first kid arrives at the meeting.
• Workout includes energized, interactive Bible study as kids hear or experience a Bible story, learn the meaning of a verse, apply Bible truths, sing and pray.
• Reach Out uses either the mission DVD or a mission project to teach kids about missions around the world.
• Stretching teaches the kids the meeting’s memory verse and helps them to learn the verses.
• The Tournament is a time given to run, play and laugh with fun games and activities that reinforce the Bible Study.
• Cool Down is the last few minutes of the weeks meeting that includes a review of what kids have learned and a light refreshment.
