We cannot express our gratitude for the generosity of those who have donated and will be donating to disaster relief in Avery County. We are functioning as the food distribution hub for Avery County disaster relief. We are doing our very best to work in concert with local government officials and volunteers. Disaster relief donations can be directed to “Feeding Avery Families” and “RAM”. FBCN will continue to accept donations that go to support the local community through our “Community Benevolence fund”, these funds are distributed at the discretion of FBCN leadership. We will maintain the highest standard of stewardship and accountability for all that we do in this relief effort.

Getting ready for tonight's 5th Quarter! We are so excited to raffle off these prices: 100s of dollars in door prizes. Many of these prizes have been donated by generous local businesses, who have been very supportive of our Avery Youth. We would like to give a big thanks to our local sponsors and partners for this event; Carolina Pizza Company of Newland for sponsoring the event by providing the food, Big Mike's Coffee Shop, Sugar Mountain Resort, Inc., Puerto Nuevo, Avery County High School, Youth2Youth, and Western Youth Network. All 9th through 12th graders are welcome- can't wait to see you there!

Next Wednesday, August 7th, we will begin our VBS Wednesdays! VBS Wednesday will happen every Wednesday for the entire month of August and will end with a celebration on Saturday, August 31st. Please come join us! VBS will begin at 5:00 PM and will end at 7:30 PM. *Dinner and snacks will be provided*

Tuesday, July 23rd, will be our next pool day for Children & Youth. Come join us for a day out in the community and by the pool. Sandwiches, snacks, and drinks will be provided. We will meet at the playground at Newland Elementary School before walking over. See you there!
