A Reform Congregation Serving the Greater Hartford Area

Temple Sinai is a Reform congregation serving the spiritual needs of the Jewish community in the Greater Hartford area. We continue to be a growing, vibrant congregation offering a responsive environment for religious needs, educational growth, and social interaction. Today, over 290 families and individuals from 25 communities comprise our

membership: families with young children at home, single-parent families, the newly married, empty nesters, retirees, and single adults. We welcome the membership of interfaith couples, non-traditional families, and those who want to better understand and participate in Jewish life.

🎨✨ Be Part of the Temple Sinai Tapestry! ✨🎨

Join us as we create a meaningful community art project together for the Under One Roof initiative!

Temple Sinai members are invited to decorate a cloth square. Each square will become part of a beautiful patchwork-style quilt on canvas, celebrating the diversity, strength, and spirit of our community. The completed artwork will be unveiled and showcased later this year.

Rooted in the Mandell JCC's core value of Human Dignity (Kavod Habriyot), this year's theme—Diversity—honors the beauty that emerges when different identities, experiences, and perspectives come together. Under one roof, we discover that our collective diversity makes us whole.

🎨 Not "artsy"? No problem!
No experience or supplies are needed—just bring yourself and your point of view.

📅 Join us at one of these sessions:
• Sunday, June 14 | 10:00–11:30 AM
• Friday, June 26 | 5:00–6:00 PM

Come add your square to our shared story. We can't wait to create something beautiful with you!

🌈 A Place For All 🌈

Join us as we celebrate PRIDE Shabbat on Friday, June 12th!

This special evening is an opportunity to come together in community, joy, and gratitude as we honor the diversity of LGBTQIA+ identities and experiences. Rooted in the values of dignity, belonging, and love, PRIDE Shabbat reminds us that every person is created b'tzelem Elohim—in the divine image—and deserves to be welcomed, celebrated, and embraced.

Whether you are LGBTQIA+, a family member, friend, ally, or simply seeking an inclusive spiritual community, we invite you to join us for a meaningful Shabbat experience filled with prayer, connection, and celebration.

All are welcome. Come as you are.

Another milestone worth celebrating 💧

Together, we’ve now saved 5,000 plastic bottles from ending up in landfills by choosing our refillable water fountain. What started as a small step has turned into a powerful habit—one that keeps us hydrated while making a real impact on our planet.

Every refill adds up. Every choice matters. And Temple Sinai continues to show what responsible stewardship looks like in action.

Here’s to staying refreshed and keeping thousands more bottles out of the waste stream 🌍

Our community is strongest when we show up for each other.

We invite you to us for a 2-hour, action-focused training led by Hartford Deportation Defense to learn:
• How to safely intervene as a bystander
• What to do if you see ICE activity
• Your rights and how to assert them
• Ways to stay connected and support one another

This is about being informed, prepared, and ready to take action when it matters most. We all have a role to play in protecting our neighbors. Open to community members. Use the QR to register.
