This is what true peace looks like

For My yoke is easy, and My burden is light.” [Matthew 11:28-30.] Through your individual experience, you are to find the life that is hid with Christ in God. This is indeed a life of truth, of peace, of rest. God wants you to live such a life. Let peace and love pervade your soul. Cast out the enemy whenever he seeks to enter your mind to disturb your peace. The Lord will strengthen you, if you will sit with Him in heavenly places. He does not desire you to labor so unceasingly that you will become nervous; for the enemy then takes advantage of you. Your power is in keeping calm. Do not become stirred up.

Certainly the Lord does not desire you to be disturbed in spirit, because then you would not be able to recognize His sacred presence. He desires you to make no drive in His behalf. He says to you: “Be calm. Bear a clear, straightforward testimony in behalf of the truth. Never spoil the effect of your message by finding fault afterward because you suppose that you are not appreciated and honored as you should be.

Nicodemus came to Jesus in secret, hiding his belief under dark of night, and this secret meeting resulted in one of the most-quoted verses in all of scripture! Jesus' teaching, boiled down, and summarized by John is simply this: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" (John 3:16, NIV). If you believe, even in secret, pray this prayer today: "Thank You, God, for everlasting life. I believe."

What a meaningful and inspiring Sabbath as we focused on Possibility Ministries! 💙

We were blessed to have Dr. Coke, Director of Possibility Ministries from the Atlantic Union Conference, join us and share a powerful message about seeing people the way God sees them—not for their limitations, but for their God-given potential.

Possibility Ministries reminds us that everyone has a place, a purpose, and a role in God’s work. It was a beautiful time of reflection, learning, and recommitment to creating a more inclusive and loving church family.

Thank you to Dr. Coke for your heartfelt message, and to everyone who helped make this Sabbath so special!

Let’s continue to open our hearts, remove barriers, and embrace the possibilities God has for each person 🙏
