The Lord greatly blessed the Care of Souls Conference this year on the Church in Counseling at Placerita Bible Church. Thank you to all the speakers and volunteers who did an amazing job serving. Our attention was focused on Christ, His sufficient Word, and the Church He founded and intends to be the foundation of biblical counseling. There was a heartfelt tribute to Pastor John MacAthur at the Q&A opening night which was a comfort to us all. The sessions were recorded and will be posted on the conference website soon. Our beloved pastor and spiritual father, John MacArthur, went home to be with the Lord today. We’re all grieving and rejoicing and thanking God for him and his faithful ministry. He bore abundant fruit by God’s grace and for His glory. His commitment to the sufficiency of Scripture and the Church was unparalleled. He inspired the biblical counseling movement and the Care of Souls Conference through his works, Counseling: How to Counsel Biblically, Our Sufficiency in Christ, The Masters Plan for the Church, and many more. He will be dearly missed and his legacy honored, imitating him as he imitated Christ. We’re praying for God’s comfort to his family and all of us who loved him and learned so much from him. We will see him again and worship our glorious Savior with him in heaven. Amen.
