If we could turn back the hands of time to the year 1886, we would find a small gathering of 15 Sabbath keepers forming a church in Corinth, Vermont. Meetings were held in homes, an in 1969, they purchased the present building in South Newbury, Vermont. It was built in 1914 or 1915, as a schoolhouse, and our oldest member at the church fondly recalls attending school there as a boy. Doe, first pre

sident of the Boston Produce Exchange donated a bell for the building. Today, members and visitors alike together and worship on each Saturday. Sabbath School - 9:30 am
Church Service - 11:00 am
Thursday night prayer meeting - 6:00 pm

The Seventh-day Adventist church has a rich history that began here in Northern New England. They worship on the 7th day of the week (as articulated in the ten commandments), believe in healthful living, and look forward to the second coming of Jesus Christ. The South Newbury church draws people from the surrounding towns to this unique and lovely spot near the Connecticut River.

As the flowers bloom and the days grow brighter, we are reminded of God’s beautiful creation and His endless blessings. This season of renewal fills our hearts with gratitude for family, friends, faith, and the hope we have in Christ.
