Rose Hill Cemetery Rose Hill Cemetery

A Place of Quiet, Dignified, Beauty. Established Circa 1845

Newburgh has a long history in Southern Indiana and was the first settlement organized in Warrick County. Situated on the Ohio River, this area was originally settled in 1803 by the John Sprinkle family, which had migrated westward from Pennsylvania.Newburgh eventually became the final destination of many immigrants who were immigrating to the United States in the nineteenth century. Many of these pioneering families have been laid to rest in the Rose Hill Cemetery.

This is our crew this year. They have been overwhelmed this year. The grass has grown like crazy. Hats off to this crew. I would stack them up against any other cemetery crew. I think we have gained control back of the cemetery from all the grass that at one time was way out of hand. Thanks guys!!!!

With all the rain and heat so far this year and straight to summer weather from winter and no spring the cemetery is not looking so good at times and up to my standards so please bare with us until we can get caught up and maybe stay caught up. Ive never seen anything like this. A few years ago it was pretty bad but this year so far blows that away by far. Please be aware that we are trying to keep it up. We are 1 guy down with a fractured back that he had in a go cart accident so that has not helped with the situation. We are and have been looking for someone who would like to work at the cemetery w**d eating and possibly mowing so if you know anybody that is reliable please have them contact Neil at the cemetery office. 812-858-8003.
