Sri Shirdi Saibaba Sansthan of Tristate

Sri Shirdi Saibaba Sansthan of Tristate Sri Shirdi Saibaba gave US a Shirdi in the form of Sri Saidham, located in Newburgh, Indiana.

Founders were passing by Sri Saidham in search of a new home for their family and happen to see Sri Saidhamwhich was being run as a church at that time. entering the Mnadir area the first thought that has crossed their mind is how nice it would be to have a marble Baba murthi on this platform. sentences from Satcharithra echoed in their mind while walking through Saidham as to how Mandir, Chavadi,

Gurusthan and Dwarakamayi are described in Shirdi and Sri Saidham was set up as the united states home of Sri shirdi Saibaba where he currently resides with Sri (Matha Laitha Parameshwari) making it Sri Sai Dham. devotees from all over US visit Sri Saidham for Baba Ji's darshan and feel the effect of visiting him at Shirdi Mandir and henceforth it is called America Shirdi by devotees

US Shirdi Sri Saidham:
4 years ago in Sri Rama Navami time Sri Sai summoned 3 founders, devotees from 3 states and completed his Shirdi Mandir in US in a span of 3 months from Sri Rama Navami to Gurupoornima. As we approach the Gurupoornima time let's thank Sri Sai for his motherly love and grace. He showers his blessings on all of us all the time whther we perceive it or not.
He is the paramathma, the supreme consciosness incarnetd in the human form to help us live in harmony and achive the goal of life, The liberation or Moksha.
He gave various duties to various devotees but only gave what they needed to continue their dharma. even a simple thing as food intake he did not let them to deviate from what they should unless it was unwarranted like the fasting.
He blessed the devotees with both human joys and heavenly blessings. He did not tell anybody to take renounciation and did not allow renounces to get tangled in to householder life. he gave very simple rituals like remebering him and chanting. let everybody follow what they like with loving devotion and faith being the key principles.
His expansion to western hemisphere is just as quiet as his mandir construction in Shirdi. As the karma bhoomi in india we are more focused in rituals and being called Bhoga Bhoomi the western hemisphere is more focussed on the experience. As one obtains Darshan physically at Shirdi they experience Shirdi at Sri Saidham.
From the inception Sri Saidham's focus is on Nava Vidha Bhakthi marga and creating awareness for Sri Sai's teachings focused at peace and harmony. Sri Saidham's pillars of excellence are Faith and Devotion.with the core values of dedication, integrity, respect, service, team work, love and attitude of gratitude.
Sri Saidham being Sai's home in US with Sri Matha Bala Thripura Sundari reminds devotees and helps them to perform Pancha Yagna on daily basis.

US Shirdi Sri Saidham Satsang:
Anantha Padmanabha Vratha- Vratha of enrichment
As every year Anantha Vratha was performed at Sri Saidham today. As the name implies, it is the Vratha of enrichment and immense blessings. Sri Sai said he is the Anantha and this Vratha was part of Sri Guru Charithra as well.
Story of Anantha Vratha depicts Sri Sai's teaching of sharing and what happens if one does not. Most of the Vratha's states as to what happens if we do something but this one also shows what to expect if we do not .This Vratha was narrated to Dharma Raja by Sri Krishna at the time of Aranyavasa.
In the story, Sumantha(good nature) marries Deeksha(Initiation) and gives birth to Susheela(Good character). Susheela goes through torture by step mother karkasha(life's tribulations) after her mother's death and marries a wandering sage Koundinya(Mind). She happens to see others performing this Vratha and performs with them and thus gets enriched.
Koundinya(mind) gets forgetful, looses temper and hurts and leaves Susheela(character), enrages the Lord Anantha, looses all the belongings and starts wandering again.
He then starts searching for Anantha and stumbles in to a mango tree without fruits( a scholar in the previous birth who did not share his knowledge) cow with calf which is not able to eat(donated non fertile land in previous life) Bull(rich man that did not perform charity in previous life)Donkey(person that has mistreated others with rage and anger in previous life) elephant (reckless and vagabond in previous life) two ponds feeding in to each other( siblings in previous life that donated to each other only)
Anantha appears in the form of old Brahmin(Guru), saves Koundinya who then goes on to perform Anantha Vratha for 14 years and becomes star called Punarvasu.
Anantha Vratha is truly a Vratha of enrichment. Rich is the one who has more than what one needs and is content with his lot and not the one who has a lot but is longing for more. Sharing is the character of the rich and that continues to enrich that person for many lives to come. Sharing the knowledge, money, property, resources, skills with others is service to the lord Anantha, Sri Sai himself.

US Shirdi Sri Saidham Satsang:
Sai always said to be patient and not to get angry when someone tries to irritate you. He said that he will be pleased when his devotees are calm and composed in the midst of chaos. It may seem difficult when you look at it thinking, how can one stay calm and quiet when we are hurt by others mistreatment? Following a simple rule of not making others problems as ours we can avoid quite a bit of havoc in life.
If someone gives us a present and we don't accept it it still belongs the the person that gave it. If someone is unloading their anger on us and we don''t accept it, it stays as their problem and not ours. If we react to it and make it as ours then we have to deal with that ourselves as well. why make it ours in the first place?
Baba mentions in the story of Veerabhadrappa and Chennabasappa as to how he dealt with Veerabhadrappa trying to unload his anger on Baba. He said he prayed and stayed calm. We can do the same thing. Pray, stay calm and watch the chaos around you as if you are in the eye if the cyclone. Be a witness to Sai's leelas...

US Shirdi Sri Saidham Satsang:
Sri Sai reiterated the Importance of Daana(charity) very clearly. Daana is a crucial principle of humanity. Daana purifies mind, clears greed, releases from attachments to money and other worldly things, provides gratification and promotes contentment.
Daana should be performed with strong faith, humility, abundantly, timely and with compassion.
One who realizes that everything comes from God and shares freely with the rest of the humanity stays blessed for ever.
Baba said to not fast and said how can we pray with focus with empty stomach. He took dakshina to remind devotees of Daana so that they will continue giving(sow) now and receive(reap) in future to continue their quest towards self realization. It's not easy form some one struggling to meet basic needs to think of the paramaartha of life.
Baba not only said that annadaana(food donation) is the best charity to both humans(gave them part of his bhikshatan food) and animals(he asked Lakshmi Bai Shindhe to bring roti to feed a hungry dog) but also cooked and served meals himself to hungry
Some times Baba asked devotees dakshina of something they have read in books, like he did for professor G.B Narke from Yoga Vasishta. reading and learning (Swadhyaya or self study) is wonderful as long as the person is taking the essence to heart and not getting proud from the knowledge. self reflection or Guru's teaching helps to resolve that ignorance and that's what Baba did in this story and in the story of his explaining Gita Shloak to Nana.
Baba gave us example of a rich man requesting Brahmagnana and said for him to let go of his greed in order to seeking God.

Why is Sri Saidham US Shirdi, bacause Baba said so:
1. Baba came to Shirdi by himself and no one knew why. The same way he came to Sri Saidham and no one knows why this place of all places in US.
2. Shirdi is a small town on the banks of Godavari river and Newburgh is also a small town on the banks of Ohio River
3. Booti Ji was passing by the dwarakamayi and thought came to him that he should build a home there which later became Mandir for Baba. Gade Family was passing by Sri Saidham in search of a home to live and found Sri Saidham. They never had thought of building a temple till then.
4. Saidham Gurusthan was initially was thought of as a Muralidhar mandir and Baba Ji changed it to Gurusthan instead and Sri Sai pooja started in Gurusthan first of all areas of Sri Saidham. Gurusthan still has most powerful and peaceful vibrations of all.
5. Devotees have spotted Sri Sai working in Lendi vana from time to time
6. Sai chavadi has white ceiling and hanging chandeliers just like it was described in Satcharithra and it was already there, no one have conceived it.
7. Saidham is built in the shape of cross with star surrounded by Ashtadala padmam reiterating Sai's philosophy of religious harmony and co existence
8. devotees from 3 states that didn't know each other, 3 founders came together and the temple opened doors in 3 months time.
9. Baba Ji's pranaprathisthapana was by a lightning from the sky

Sri Sai gave Sri Saidham to devotees 3 years ago today and devotees are forever thankful to him for that

US Shirdi Sri Saidham Satsang:
Let your actions speak louder than your words.
Baba used to be silent for the most part of the day. He is the incarnation of Dakshinamurthy whose silence spoke vedas and knowledge to the Rishis. The same way Sai's silence spoke volumes to the devotees.
Though he does not have a family, Sri Sai never looked lazy or idle. He was ever busy with activities like helping devotees, Yoga, meditation, tending to the plants in lendi vana, feeding the animals, Bhikshatan etc.
he was ever willing to help devotees and didn't even mind if he got hurt the process like burning his hand to save a little baby from falling in to the furnace.
He didn't even mind when Nanavali wanted him to get up and give his seat. neighbors and workers along with animals used to take his bhikshatana food and wood that he stored for Dhuni and he never uttered a word.
he said if one gives food to the hungry, water to the thirsty, clothes to the needy and bears the harsh words without retaliating God certainly would be pleased with them, promoting humanity.

This Guru Poornima, lets reflect n our actions and Baba's words regarding our behavior. We say that we are Sai devotees, are we following his words? are we being like the rich man asking for Brahma Gnana and not able to spare five rupees for Baba?

are we willing to give the 13 things(5 pranas, 5 senses, mind, intellect and ego) to obtain his blessings? are we ready to receive his nine coins(nine types of Bhakthi(devotion))?

US Shirdi Sri Saidham Satsang:
Sri Sai Baba has motherly love towards his devotees. Babies don't know their needs but mother does and provides for them. she feeds them properly and at the right time and also adores them in beautiful clothes and jewelery.
Sai does the same to us. we don't know what we need. What we want so much may not be the best thing for us. like a child wanting to eat a red chilli thinking it as a sweet, we may ask for things which may be dangerous for us. mother(Sai) may say no a few times and if she sticks to that we will be fine. if she gives in and gives us that beautiful red chilli to eat, child may cry even more eating it.
remember when Sai asked Hemadpanth's wife as to how much does she want for pension for panth, she said what ever you think is right Baba. They got more than they expected.
Let's leave desires for worldly things to Baba and only ask for his love and blessings. Baba knows what we need and he will provide for us. Guru Krupa makes everything possible.
let's not worry about worldly fame and name and desire Sai's blessings. he said he came to Shirdi to give us silk clothes and why should we foolishly look for rags instead?
As Gurupoornima is in July, we hope all of you Sai devotees ask for riches and not worry about rags and receive immense blessings from Sadguru Sai.

US SHirdi Sri Saidham Satsang:
Gurudakshina and it's improtance
When Daksha prajapathi gave the word Da to the universe, deities took it as Dama( control of senses), demons took it as Daya(kindness) and humans took it as Dana(donation) that's how the donation became a crucial part of human life. Da for Sai devotees is Dakshina. Baba, vedas and other scriptures like bible said it over and over that what we sow is what we reap eventually. If we want to reap abundantly in the future, we have to give abundantly now.
what would be best donation than the Dakshina(offering)to Guru who encompasses the mother, father and god all together in one. Mother gives birth, father sustains for one life time but Guru follows us through many lives and guides us to the Moksha(self realization). Baba mentioned in Satcharithra that it is 72 lives relationship with him(Guru)
As Gurupoornima is in July, we hope all of you Sai devotees give abundantly and receive immense blessings from Sadguru Sai.
