This Sunday we’ll conclude our sermon series from 1st Corinthians, and for a church riddled with more spiritual problems than we can count, nonetheless, Paul ends his main catalogue of instruction, correction, and commands on an incredibly high note! A day will come when Christ returns to resurrect believers and transform those believers still living when He returns, all into glorified humanity with eternal life, every believer dead and living now perfectly conformed to Christ’s likeness! This is the aim of the gospel and it will all happen even faster than you can blink! “In the twinkling of an eye…we shall all be changed!” (1st Corinthians 15:52) But let’s not forget the great significance of our future resurrection. If our future resurrection is the ultimate aim of the gospel, then it is “of first importance” (1st Corinthians 15:3) to receive, believe, and hold fast to the truth of our future resurrection. Never forget that of all the awful, sinful things the Corinthians had done, it was over keeping fellowship with “some” in the church who denied our future resurrection that led to Paul’s rebuke in 1st Corinthians 15:33: “Bad company ruins good morals.” Imagine as a mom or dad hearing that one of your kids was hanging out with someone from church who practiced sexual immorality or dabbled in pagan worship. You’d probably try to move heaven and earth to break that relationship, but would you think having one of your kids hanging out with someone who denies the resurrection of believers to be as bad? Paul would say to you “Wake up mom and dad! This is worse!” NEVER FORGET that our Lord Jesus Christ took on our humanity, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose again on the 3rd day victorious over our sin and death, sent the Holy Spirit to dwell in us, mediates now and always His very life to us as our great high priest through the ministry of the Holy Spirit, and will come again to raise us up “so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish” (Ephesians 5:27).

We invite you to come join us this Sunday morning for our in-person worship service at Leptondale Bible Church in Newburgh, starting at 10:55 AM. For those unable to attend, our service can be viewed live on the church’s page: https://www.facebook.com/leptondalebiblechurch. This Sunday, we’ll conclude a sermon series from 1st Corinthians titled “Written for Our Instruction” with a message from 1st Corinthians 15:50-58 titled “We shall be changed!”

God bless!
Pastor Mike

Renowned Christian speaker Ken Davis tells a story about a woman who looked out of her window and saw her German shepherd shaking the life out of a neighbor's rabbit. Her family did not get along well with these neighbors, so this was going to be disastrous. So, she grabbed a broom and pummeled the
