Praying for the communities and the people in the line of Hurricane “Isaias”.
I find it - an Interesting choice of names - for this storm as it is set to impact many - many people.
Did you know that - “Isaias” is just a different form of the prophet’s name - “Isaiah” - and his name means “Salvation is of the Lord'
And that - Isaiah and “Yeshua” (Jesus) are basically linguistic - mirror images of each other—where 'Yeshua' means 'The Lord saves' - while 'Isaiah' flips the order to mean 'Salvation is of the Lord'—They share the same Hebrew root word for ‘rescue’.
So whether the use of Isaiah is intentional or inadvertent - it brings to us - a powerful reminder that we all need to turn to God in prayer for all people - yes for this time as Hurricane Isaias heads toward the gulf and impacts people - possessions and communities. But also for the ultimate rescue - of these same people … for- “all time” and “eternity” - where Christ is the only true and permanent rescuer!
