Today some of our staff worked with the Oyster Recovery Partnership (ORP) to introduce oyster spat to the Charleston Creek & Wicomico River area! 🌊

These shells have tiny juvenile oysters attached to them, which will grow into water-filtering adult oysters that are essential to our Chesapeake Bay ecosystem. We will keep some of these oyster cages at our dock, while others are distributed to Cobb Island and Newburg locals. One of our core values at CSC is care for creation, so we are always happy to nurture our environment. 🦪♻️
