When we say, βthe joy of the Lord is our strength,β we are not saying life is always easy, or that believers never feel pain, pressure, grief, or disappointment. We are saying our strength does not come from perfect circumstances; it comes from knowing who God is! ππΎ
The joy of the Lord is deeper than happiness. Happiness can change with the day, the news, the diagnosis, the bank account, or the situation. But the joy God gives is rooted in His presence, His promises, His salvation, and His faithfulness!
This joy gives us the strength to keep praying.
Strength to keep believing.
Strength to keep serving.
Strength to keep trusting God when we do not understand.
The joy of the Lord does not deny what we are going through. It reminds us Who is going through it with us! π
