What does it mean to be known by God? Not just to know about Him, but to be truly known by Him -- your fears, your doubts, your name written in the book of life. That truth changes everything.

This week in Galatians 4, we explored how Christ has redeemed us from bo***ge and adopted us as heirs -- not slaves striving to earn favor, but sons and daughters who are fully known by the Father. As Paul warns the Galatians, turning back to works and legalism is trading that freedom for chains that lead nowhere.

The invitation is simple: stop striving to get God's attention. You already have it. Rest in Christ, who has finished the work, and let that truth be the foundation of everything you do.

Are you living as a son or daughter of God -- or still striving like a slave? This week in Galatians 4:1-7, Pastor Mike reminded us that Christ did not come simply to satisfy the law. He came so that we might receive adoption as sons and daughters, fully welcomed into the family of God.

God sent His Son at exactly the right moment in history -- born of a woman, born under the law -- to redeem those in bo***ge and bring them to the table as heirs. Not servants. Not outcasts. Heirs.

And to seal that reality, God placed His Spirit in our hearts, crying out "Abba, Father." You belong to Him. That is not something you earned -- it is something He gave.

Come as you are. Leave knowing whose you are.

We don't work to earn a relationship with God — we get the privilege of simply knowing Him.

When we're consumed with trying to please Him, we miss the very relationship He invited us into. But in Christ, He is already pleased with us.

The relationship that we have in God is to allow us the privilege of knowing Him... in Christ, He is pleased with us.— from this week's message on Galatians 4:1-7

In Christ, we're no longer slaves striving to earn our place — we're adopted as sons and daughters, heirs of the promise. 💛

This Sunday, we celebrated what God has done while fixing our eyes on what He is calling us toward. Drawing from Philippians 3:13-14, the challenge was simple but powerful: forget what lies behind and press on toward the goal of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Our past victories do not fuel tomorrow's mission. Our past failures do not disqualify us from it. What matters is that Christ has not yet returned, the work is not finished, and we are still here. That means we still have a purpose.

Whatever has been holding you back, it is time to release it. Press on. The God who was faithful in every season is the God of today.

Are you trying to earn your way to God?

This Sunday we explored Galatians 3:6-14 and a life-changing truth: salvation has never been about what we do—it's about what God has done. Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness—long before the law ever existed.

The law was never meant to save us. It was meant to show us our need for a Savior. We can't keep all 617 laws perfectly. One failure means we've failed them all. But here's the good news: Christ became a curse for us, hanging on that tree, so we could receive the blessing of Abraham by faith.

Stop building your resume. Stop keeping score. Jesus said, "It is finished." The work is complete. Your righteousness isn't found in your efforts—it's found in Him. When you stand before God, your only plea is the blood of Christ.

Have you trusted in His finished work, or are you still trying to earn what's already been freely given?

You foolish Galatians! Who has bewitched you? Paul's words cut through the noise of our modern world just as sharply as they did 2,000 years ago. This Father's Day message challenges us to think well about our faith—are we trusting in Christ alone, or have we been deceived into believing we must earn God's grace?

The truth is liberating: Christ finished the work. It's done. The Spirit wasn't given because of what you accomplished, but because of what Jesus accomplished for you. When we add works to grace, we don't enhance the gospel—we undermine it. We rebuild the very walls Christ tore down.

As fathers, grandfathers, and believers, we're called to pass down a faith that rests entirely on Jesus—not on our performance, our traditions, or our religious activities. Think well. Discern truth. Don't be bewitched by anything that diminishes the all-sufficient merit of Christ's finished work on the cross.
