WINTER BIBLE CONFERENCE
Saturday, February 21 & Sunday, February 22
Register at https://www.epcnewark.org/wbc2026

This year we will host Rev. James Pavlic (PCA), from SeeJesus, a global discipling ministry, and focus on our prayer lives.

Many of us are quietly defeated in our private prayer lives. We’ve tried praying, but it just doesn’t seem to work. So we feel a combination of frustration and guilt.

Over this weekend, we will learn step-by-step how to begin a private life of prayer in fellowship with our heavenly Father. This seminar is not for victorious Christians, but Christians who often find themselves defeated in the trenches. It deals with such practical questions as…
How do you stay focused when you are distracted with so much to do?
How do you pray longer than five minutes?
How do you pray when your own life is messed up?

Dinner and childcare will be provided Saturday evening. Please enter childcare information when registering. The conference is provided at no cost, however an offering will be taken for donations to supplement the costs of dinner.
We welcome and encourage you to invite anyone you feel would benefit from this seminar.

Weather Update: All Church Activities Canceled for Sunday, January 2; Office Closed Monday, January 26

Friends at EP Church,

Due to the winter storm warning, the state of emergency, and the forecasted significant snowfall (8–10 inches by late morning, with more expected throughout the day), we have made the decision to cancel all church-related activities for Sunday, January 25.

In addition, the church office will be closed on Monday, January 26 to allow time for cleanup following the storm.

A recorded worship service will be posted on the epcnewark.org homepage if you would like to worship from home.

Thank you for your understanding and flexibility. Please stay safe, and we look forward to gathering again soon.

Last Friday we had 18 volunteers come together to serve with one another at Blessings of Hope in Leola, PA. We spent almost three hours helping to repackage various types of rice so that it can more effectively be distributed to those facing financial insecurity or food scarcity. There is nothing quite like serving alongside one another to grow the bonds of fellowship. Thank you to everyone who chose to use their Friday evening to help shine the light of Christ in a tangible way to those in need!

PS. See the last picture for an accurate depiction of how we all felt by the end of the night.
