Meet Me at the Well๐Ÿ’™

Can I share something that's close to my heart?

I love prayer. Not because I'm a pastor, but because prayer is where I meet God. It's where I find peace when life gets loud, strength when I feel weary, and comfort knowing I never carry life's burdens alone.

Can I ask you something? When was the last time you simply sat in God's presence? No rushing. No perfect words. Just you and Him.

That's why our Prayer Encounters mean so much to me. They are more than another church gathering. They are sacred moments where we pause, seek God's face, and make room for Him to speak, heal, restore, and renew.

If you've been carrying something heavy, come. If your heart is full of gratitude, come. If you don't even know what to pray, come anyway.

Let's meet God together. I'll be there, expecting Him to move. I hope you'll join me.

God did a thing on Friday, and I am still in awe of His faithfulness.

I have been appointed as the Pastor of St. Mark AME Church in East Orange. East Orange is the city where I was born and raised. To be sent back to the very place that raised me in this way is nothing short of the hand of God writing a story I could not have planned on my own. There is something deeply humbling and powerful about returning to serve in the community that helped shape you.

I am grateful to Bishop Samuel L. Green for the consideration and the trust. I do not take this assignment lightly. I also thank the Newark District and the New Jersey Annual Conference for the love, the prayers, and the support that have surrounded me. It has truly been felt.

To my husband, my family, and friends, thank you for covering me, loving me, and standing with me every step of the way. Your strength has helped carry me into this moment.

As we enter into Palm Sunday, I can not help but reflect on what it means to walk into purpose with both humility and victory. Jesus entered knowing the weight of the assignment, yet He still moved forward. That same spirit rests on me. This is a season of obedience, a season of surrender, and a season of victory.

I am excited for this opportunity to love on Godโ€™s people and to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with boldness and truth. I know that I am different, and I am at peace with that. The Lord has done, is doing, and will continue to do exactly what He chooses with my life.

And for that, I say yes, Lord.

St. Mark, letโ€™s go higher.
