Blessed Sacrament St. Charles Borromeo Church was blessed to have Bishop Fernand J. Cheri, OFM celebrate 10 Mass. Bishop Cheri is the Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of New Orleans. Bishop Cheri was in Newark for the Saturday, September 30th Mass in memory of Bishop Francis sponsored by the African American, African and Caribbean Apostolate. He accepted Fr. Albert’s invitation to celebrate Mass with BSSCB. Bishop Cheri had to leave immediately after Mass but stated that if he had known that he would be at BSSCB he would have booked a later flight. God willing Bishop Cheri will worship with our parish again. Safe travel Bishop Cheri!
