Just a quick update. All proceeds from the sale of the church as well as any balances left in all church accounts have been donated. We decided to start a Plymouth Church Legacy Fund. We put Licking County Foundation in charge. That fund will directly benefit Licking County! The three charities that will benefit are the following. Heartbeats - Newark, The Center for New Beginnings and Licking County Food Pantry. We will continue to give back to the community indefinitely as this fund will only continue to grow.
We are proud that out of something so extremely difficult for our congregation a very positive thing grew out of it for our community. May this fund be a blessing to many in Licking County.

We will update soon on the positive impact our church will be making in Licking County for infinity. Grateful we were able to make something positive come from having to close our doors.

I have avoided making a "final" post on behalf of our church. It's been a tough process for our members. The pandemic wasn't kind to our church family. The children's program had to meet offsite to keep our church elders safe. We lost some members, and we have an aging congregation. Due to our aging building, low church numbers and lack of funds to keep up with the expenses we made the decision to sell the church building. We are currently visiting other churches and taking time to see where we go from here. Thank you to Lori Thurman for understanding how hard this was and guiding us through the sale. If you need a realtor, please check her out. https://www.facebook.com/LoriThurmanRealtor

We know the church is in great hands and we couldn't have asked for a better person to take care of this incredible building. It's been a pleasure and honor to be part of the Newark community since 1884! We've been in this building since 1909. Thanks for the memories!

Generosity Encouraged
2 Corinthians 6 - 9

6 Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.
7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.
9 As it is written: “They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor; their righteousness endures forever.”

May your heart be filled with peace, generosity and kindness

Thanksgiving in the Bible means to respond to God's goodness & grace with gratitude. In the Old Testament the word for giving thanks means to raise hands to God in gratitude. Make sure you don’t forget God in your celebrations today.

We hope this Bible verse speaks to you and finds you well.
