As UUs, we recognize that all work—including the often less visible and unpaid labor that sustains our families, congregations, and communities—carries inherent dignity and worthiness. Yet, the relentless demands of work can leave us feeling overwhelmed and stressed.
This Labor Day offers a meaningful opportunity to reflect on how we can balance self-care with the needs of our busy lives, and to consider ways, individually and collectively, to ensure that all who work receive fair treatment, equitable opportunities, and the respect they deserve in every aspect of their labor.
