Former Chairman, Mount Pleasant Church Deacons Ministry

On behalf of Pastor Rakeem S. Thomas, Deacon Andre Wise (Chairman), the Deacons Ministry, and the entire Mount Pleasant Church family, we pay homage to the life, legacy, and faithful service of our beloved former Deacons Chairman, Deacon Haywood Sherard, who transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on Saturday, May 30, 2026.

Deacon Sherard was an exceptional leader, devoted servant of God, and pillar of Mount Pleasant Church whose life has left an indelible mark upon our congregation. His wisdom, steadfast faith, and unwavering commitment to the Kingdom of God have left an eternal footprint that will continue to bless and inspire generations to come.

We ask that you keep his wife, children, siblings, and all loved ones lifted in prayer during this season as we celebrate a life well lived and a servant well loved.
