48 Days.

That's how long we have until leaders from across the country gather in one room for the TFAM Leadership Conference, July 22–25.

48 days to discern. 48 days to decide. 48 days to prepare your spirit, your calendar, and your community for what is being built.

If you are reading this, you are likely carrying the weight of leadership somewhere, in a pulpit, an organization, a classroom, a movement, or a quiet seat of influence that few people see. You are responsible for people. You are responsible for policy. You are responsible for public witness in a moment that demands more clarity, more courage, and more community than any of us were trained for. You were not meant to carry it alone.

This year, we are gathering around three movements that name where we are and where we are going:
Resist. We name what is harming our people and refuse to look away.
Repair. We tell the truth about what has been broken — in our communities, our institutions, and ourselves — and we do the honest work of mending.
Regenerate. We imagine and build what comes next. New ministries. New economies. New ways of being together.

All of it is anchored in the practice of Ubuntu: I am because we are.

The TFAM Leadership Conference is not a routine event. It is a strategic convening for leaders who know this moment requires more than what we have been doing and who are ready to lead differently with people who get it.

Here is what to do this week:
Register at tfamconference.org and lock in your seat.
Block July 22–25 on your calendar, including travel days.
Visit the following link to book your stay: https://www.sonesta.com/sonesta-hotels-resorts/nc/charlotte/sonesta-charlotte-lower-south-end to book your stay. (Note: a one-night charge will be assessed upon booking. You MUST use this link to secure your room!)
Forward this email to one leader in your life who needs to be in this room with you.

The room is being prepared with you in mind. We hope you will be in it.

With you in the work,
The TFAM Leadership Conference Team

Justice will reign… and we shall rise together in peace. We look forward to seeing YOU at TFAM Leadership Conference 2026. Let’s practice Ubuntu - together.

🌿💚 Join Us Today at 11:00 AM ET! 💚🌿

As we close out Mental Health Awareness Month, we invite you to gather with us online for a powerful and spirit-filled worship experience.

Today, we are honored to welcome Pastor Lucien Washington Watterson V, Pastor of our Mental Health & Wholeness Ministry, as our preacher. Together, we will continue the sacred work of nurturing our minds, tending to our spirits, and reminding one another that healing is holy work.

In a world that often asks us to carry so much, let us pause, worship, reflect, and be renewed in community. Mental health matters. Wholeness matters. You matter.

Courage brought us here.

From the streets to the sanctuaries, from kitchen tables to community meetings, our people have been showing up, speaking out, and standing together for generations. The TFAM Leadership Conference 2026 is a space to honor that courage and gather strength for what comes next.

If you are a pastor, chaplain, organizer, creative, or community leader carrying the weight of this moment, this room is for you. Come be renewed, challenged, and equipped as we practice Ubuntu: Resist. Repair. Regenerate.

Join us July 22–25, 2026, in Charlotte, NC. Register today: www.tfamconference.org (flexible payment options available)

We are more than one church, one city, or one voice.

We are global.
Congregations, leaders, and communities across continents, united in affirming faith and justice-centered ministry.

We are connected.
Rooted in relationship, resourced by one another, and committed to never leading in isolation.

We are TFAM.
More than an organization, we are a living, breathing fellowship of people called to courageous, inclusive, liberating ministry.

THIS WEDNESDAY on Beyond The Gatekeepers

Join us for a powerful and necessary conversation with Rev. Alba Onifrio, public theologian, spiritual activist, and author of Spiritual Violence: Religious Phenomena That Defile the Faith.

We are pulling back the curtain on the ways religion has been weaponized to control, wound, silence, and oppress, and how we reclaim faith as a tool of liberation, healing, justice, and truth.

This is not just another interview.
This is a prophetic dialogue for anyone who has survived spiritual harm, questioned toxic theology, or is searching for a faith rooted in love and liberation.

Wednesday, May 27
8 PM ET

🔥 THIS SUNDAY AT RIVERS! 🔥

Pentecost Sunday is not just another worship service… it is a DIVINE INTERRUPTION. A holy outpouring. A sacred fire falling on weary people who are ready for revival, renewal, healing, and power.

Join us IN PERSON as we gather expecting God to move in a fresh and liberating way! We are believing for breakthrough, prophetic release, healing in our minds and bodies, restoration in our families, and a fresh wind of courage for such a time as this.

Pentecost was never about performance.
It was about POWER.
Power to speak.
Power to survive.
Power to love.
Power to resist fear and rise in faith.

And in a season where so many are exhausted by life, politics, injustice, grief, and uncertainty… we need the fire of the Holy Spirit again.

Come dressed in expectation.
Come ready to worship.
Come ready to be transformed.

We are excited to welcome Pastor Vajaah E. Parker bringing the preached word!
