Today, we honor the life, legacy, and lasting impact of our beloved founder, the late Bishop Nathaniel Simmons, D.D., on what would have been his 89th birthday.

A true general in the faith, Bishop Simmons was a man of vision, power, and prophetic insight. His voice thundered with clarity, conviction, and compassion, and his teachings continue to echo through generations. Because he followed God’s voice, we walk in the fruit of that obedience today.

We remain eternally grateful for the labor of love he, along with the late Johnnie Mae Simmons and his children poured into this ministry, the unfiltered truth of the Gospel he boldly preached, and the unwavering example he set as a spiritual father and leader. Together with Pastor Ruby Simmons, he founded St. Paul Sounds of Praise in 1994, and the sound has never stopped.

We celebrate his memory, his mantle, and the movement that still lives on. His legacy is our foundation. His life is our example. His impact is our inheritance.

We remember. We honor. We will NEVER forget.
