Thank you for your questions. Who are the slaves? The answer is

Explanation:

#1. The servant or slave is everything. Everything is created by Allah, and everything is subjected to Allah عزَّ وَ جَل Will. As Allah عزَّ وَ جَل فيالقران كَرِيم says in His Noble Book

Explained in Detail (41:11)

11. Then He rose over (Istawâ) towards the heaven when it was smoke, and said to it and to the earth: "Come both of you willingly or unwillingly." They both said: "We come willingly."
— Al-Hilali & Khan

https://quran.com/41/11

And

Family of Imran (3:83)

83. Do they seek other than the religion of Allâh (the true Islâmic Monotheism - worshipping none but Allâh Alone), while to Him submitted all creatures in the heavens and the earth, willingly or unwillingly. And to Him shall they all be returned.
— Al-Hilali & Khan

https://quran.com/3/83

Slaves are two types:
The wording slave in some translations of this hadith or narrative context a slave is specifically a slave or servant to Allah

#2. A slave or servant is also a worshipper of Allah عزَّ وَ جَل or Muslim (someone whom have accepted Islam) or a Beleiver...

However, and to the contrary, A slave is not always a Muslim willfully submitting to Allah

That does not contradict the fact that a slave is always Allah's عزَّ وَ جَل creation. This is evident by that described which I have already annunciated “see” #1

There is no movevent without Allah allowing movement.

Noble Book

164. Verily! In the creation of the heavens and the earth, and in the alternation of night and day, and the ships which sail through the sea with that which is of use to mankind, and the water (rain) which Allâh sends down from the sky and makes the earth alive therewith after its death, and the moving (living) creatures of all kinds that He has scattered therein, and in the veering of winds and clouds which are held between the sky and the earth, are indeed Ayât (proofs, evidence, signs, etc.) for people of understanding.

2_Baqara

However, a Muslim is always a slave to Allah Because a Muslim is one who submits to Allah

32. Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم): Obey Allâh and the Messenger (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم). But if they turn away, then Allâh does not like the disbelievers.

3_ Al Imran

Obey Allah and His Messenger.

This noble verse is a ruling over everyone who claims to love Allah, but is not on the path (following the sunnah)mn of Muhammad, for he is a liar in his claim in reality, until he follows the sharia law adjudicated by the Prophet’s (Muhammad) may Allah bless him and grant him peace sunnah way in all his words and actions, as it is established in the authentic hadith on the authority of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, that he said: “Whoever does an action that is not in accordance with our command, فَهُوَ رُدٌ it is rejected.” And for this reason, he said:

Say: "If you love Allah, then follow me; Allah will love you."

31.Say (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم to mankind): If you (really) love Allâh then follow me (i.e. accept Islâmic Monotheism, follow the Qur’ân and the Sunnah), Allâh will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Tafsir ibn Kathir

Ibn Abi Hatim رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ said: My father narrated to us—from Aisha رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا (may Allah be pleased with her), who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "Is the Religion anything but love and hate?" Allah the Almighty said:

"Say: 'If you love Allah, then follow me; Allah will love you.'”
And

43. And perform As-Salât (Iqâmat-as-Salât), and give Zakât and bow down (or submit yourselves with obedience to Allâh) along with Ar-Raki‘ûn.

2_Al Baqara

I say what is clear that The Rak'ūn: are those who bow down in prayer

and with those indicates prayer in jam'ah or in a congregation

The trusted mufasir ibn Kathir recorded in his tafsir

And regarding His—the Exalted’s—statement: ﴾And bow down with those who bow down﴿—this means: Be with the believers in their finest deeds; and among the most specific and perfect of these is the Prayer.

[Many scholars have cited this verse as evidence for the obligation of congregational prayer (*al-jama‘ah*).

A detailed exposition of this subject may be found in the *Kitāb al-Aḥkām al-Kabīr* (The Great Book of Rulings), Allah willing. Furthermore, Al-Qurṭubī has discussed the issues pertaining to congregational prayer and religious leadership (*imāmah*) with great excellence.]

I say slaves in general are as I already annunciated. Everything is created by Allah Subsequently, everything is slave to Allah

See you not that whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth, and the sun, and the moon, and the stars, and the mountains, and the trees, and Ad-Dawâbb [moving (living) creatures, beasts], and many of mankind prostrate themselves to Allah. But there are many (men) on whom the punishment is justified. And whomsoever Allâh disgraces, none can honour him. Verily, Allâh does what He wills.

{Have they not seen?}

Ibn Kathir's explanation:

Allah Almighty informs us that He alone is worthy of worship, without any partner. Everything prostrates to His greatness, willingly or unwillingly, and the prostration of everything is specific to Him, as He said:

{Have they not seen what Allah has created of things whose shadows incline to the right and to the left, prostrating to Allah while they are humbled?} [An-Nahl 16:11]

To Allah prostrates whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth and the sun, the moon, the stars, the mountains, the trees, the animals, and many of the people. But there are many upon whom punishment is justified. And he whom Allah humiliates - for him there is no one to honor. Indeed, Allah does what He wills. [Surah Al-Hajj: 18:48]

And here He states: ﴿

Do you not see that to Allah prostrates whoever is in the heavens and whoever is on the earth?﴾—that is: from among the angels in the far reaches of the heavens, and the living creatures in all directions—including humans, jinn, beasts, and birds; ﴿and there is not a single thing but that it glorifies Him with praise.﴾ [Al-Isra: 44]

Now onto, the questioner is asking, what I believe, is for An understanding of other parts of the Hadith

Before going to that we need to introduce some of the examples as background to this meaning;

Do not oppress one another:

Allah عزَّ وَ جَل said in His Noble Book 17: 23

If either of them—or both—should reach old age while in your care, do not say to them even "Uff!"

أُفٍّ uff: A blameworthy term, a reprimand questioning an act or lack thereof. It is saying for example, why did you do this or why didn't you do that.

“uff”: It is commanded not to say “uff” to the parents Subsequently,

The same “uff” The Messenger of Allah صلى الله عليه و سلم did not even say “uff” to his servant

The Status of The Servant

Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: I never felt any piece of velvet or silk softer than the palm of the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), nor did I smell any fragrance more pleasant than the smell of Messenger of Allah (ﷺ). I served him for ten years, and he never said 'Uff' (an expression of disgust) to me. He never said 'why did you do that?' for something I had done, nor did he ever say 'why have you not done such and such' for something I had not done.
[Al- Bukhari and Muslim].

Riyad as-Salihin 621
https://sunnah.com/riyadussalihin:621

For ten years, he never once said to me, "Uff."

“Note” Anâs رَظِي اللهُ was the servant of the Messenger Allah صَلَى اللهُ علَيهِ وَ سَلَم. It should be noted here that “servant” in this context means as in “butler” duties

The Status of The Slave:

Narrated Abu Dharr:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said: Feed those of your slaves who please you from what you eat and clothe them with what you clothe yourselves, but sell those who do not please you and do not punish Allah's creatures.

Sunan Abi Dawud 5161
https://sunnah.com/abudawud:5161

Feed, clothe and shelter are the basic rights a man has to His immediate family wife, children and extends to his parents…

A slave has the same rights for food clothes as the rights of a man's family.

The neighbor: The neighbor's rights are such that the Messenger of Allâh صَلَى اللهُ علَيهِ وَ سَلَم said that he begin to think that Allah عزَّ وَ جَل may make the neighbor have a share of his will

‘A’ishah reported the Messenger of Allah (May peace be upon him) as saying: Gabriel kept on commending the neighbor to me so that I thought he would make him an heir.

Sunan Abi Dawud 5151
https://sunnah.com/abudawud:5151

All of the aforementioned in this category
are commanded treatment opposite of oppression

Allah عزَّ وَ جَل has put oppression in proximity to Him عزَّ وَ جَل.

Allah عزَّ وَ جَل does not oppresss. Then how is it possible, that any of the slaves or creation believes it is permissible to oppress others of Allah عزَّ وَ جَل slaves or creation? It, that is oppression is not permitted.

Guidance: If one takes steps towards Allah will take more toward you (for your guidance).

All of Allah عزَّ وَ جَل creation breaths Allah عزَّ وَ جَل good air, may use His عزَّ وَ جَل water from the sky (rain) or from the sea, milk from goat, sheep and cows. All of His creatures may eat meat (from animals) and fish. They may utilize the earth's resources mountains (as caves) dirt, mud, leaves and staw to make shelter…. These may be available and used by believers or dis-
And Allah عزَّ وَ جَل feeds, clothes and guides whom He عزَّ وَ جَل Wills. Similiarly, Allah may take away what He wills. Allah عزَّ وَ جَل may test, punish and reward whom He عزَّ وَ جَل Wills.

Allah is Guny Hameed He is Al Samad. Allah is Free from all needs and wants Everything depends on Allah while Allah depends on no one, nothing.

Allah forgives all sins. Allah does not forgive the joining of partners with Allah The Mighty and Magnificent. It is when someone dies joining partners with Allah عزَّ وَ جَل, As اللهِ عزَّ وَ جَل فِيالفُران كَرِيم
Allah says: in His عزَّ وَ جَل Noble Book Al Qur'an

{ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَمَاتُواْ وَهُمۡ كُفَّارٌ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ لَعۡنَةُ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ وَٱلنَّاسِ أَجۡمَعِينَ ١٦١ }

161. Verily, those who disbelieve, and die while they are disbelievers, it is they on whom is the Curse of Allâh and of the angels and of mankind, combined.

Surah 2_ Al-Baqarah

And

As to forgiveness, At-Tirmidhi etal. recorded ahadith Narrated by Anas رَضِي اللهُ عنهُ may Allah be pleased with him

Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "Allah, the Exalted, has said: 'O son of adam, I forgive you as long as you pray to Me and hope for My forgiveness, whatever sins you have committed. O son of 'Adam, I do not care if your sins reach the height of the heaven, then you ask for my forgiveness, I would forgive you. O son of 'Adam, if you come to Me with an earth load of sins, and meet Me associating nothing to Me, I would match it with an earthload of forgiveness."' [At- Tirmidhi, who classified it as Hadith Hasan].

And

On the authority of Abu Dharr al-Ghifaree (may Allah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) from his Lord, that He said:

‘O My servants! I have forbidden dhulm (oppression) for Myself, and I have made it forbidden amongst you, so do not oppress one another.

‘O My servants, all of you are astray except those whom I have guided, so seek guidance from Me and I shall guide you.

‘O My servants, all of you are hungry except those whom I have fed, so seek food from Me and I shall feed you.

‘O My servants, all of you are naked except those whom I have clothed, so seek clothing from Me and I shall clothe you.

‘O My servants, you commit sins by day and by night, and I forgive all sins, so seek forgiveness from Me and I shall forgive you.

‘O My servants, you will not attain harming Me so as to harm Me, and you will not attain benefiting Me so as to benefit Me.

‘O My servants, if the first of you and the last of you, and the humans of you and the jinn of you, were all as pious as the most pious heart of any individual amongst you, then this would not increase My Kingdom an iota.

‘O My servants, if the first of you and the last of you, and the humans of you and the jinn of you, were all as wicked as the most wicked heart of any individual amongst you, then this would not decrease My Kingdom an iota.

‘O My servants, if the first of you and the last of you, and the humans of you and the jinn of you, were all to stand together in one place and ask of Me, and I were to give everyone what he requested, then that would not decrease what I Possess, except what is decreased of the ocean when a needle is dipped into it.

‘O My servants, it is but your deeds that I account for you, and then recompense you for. So he who finds good, let him praise Allah, and he who finds other than that, let him blame no one but himself.

However, and to the contrary, A slave is not always a Muslim willfully submitting to Allah

That does not contradict the fact that a slave is always Allah's عزَّ وَ جَل creation. This is evident by that described which I have already annunciated “see” #1

There is no movevent without Allah allowing movement.

164. Verily! However, a Muslim is always a slave to Allah Because a Muslim is one who submits to Allah

{Have they not seen?}

Before going to that we need to introduce some of the examples as background to this meaning;

{ إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَمَاتُواْ وَهُمۡ كُفَّارٌ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ عَلَيۡهِمۡ لَعۡنَةُ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلۡمَلَٰٓئِكَةِ وَٱلنَّاسِ أَجۡمَعِينَ ١٦١ }

161. Verily, those who disbelieve, and die while they are disbelievers, it is they on whom is the Curse of Allâh and of the angels and of mankind, combined.
