Built To Carry Volume 3: Change Part 12: Possess The Promise
God never intended for His promises to remain things we only talk about, pray about, or admire from a distance.

Isaiah 54:3 declares, “your offspring will possess the nations.” After learning what it means to become a bridge for those who come after us, we now move into the responsibility of possession.

What does it mean to actually step into what God has prepared? What has to change in us when the promise moves from something we are waiting for to something we are responsible for carrying?

There is a difference between receiving a promise and possessing it.

Think about what God has already brought you through. Maybe you learned how to forgive after years of carrying hurt. Maybe you had to learn how to set boundaries, rebuild your life, manage what you have, or keep showing up when quitting would have been easier. Those lessons don’t have to end with you. ❤️

If God healed an area of your life, you can sit with someone who is still hurting. If you learned something the hard way, you can help someone else avoid the same mistakes. If God broke a pattern in your family, you can make sure it doesn’t get passed down again. Ask yourself, “Who can benefit from what God has built in me?”

Sometimes what happened behind us can consume so much of our attention that we stop seeing what God has placed ahead.
After Lot separated from Abraham, God told him, "Lift up now thine eyes." There was still more for Abraham to see, more territory to walk, and more purpose ahead.
This week, God is challenging us to stop allowing yesterday to limit our vision for tomorrow.
