Rutgers Newark has joined universities from all over the USA, Qatar, UK, Germany, Canada and South Africa to raise funds for relief efforts overseas under Islamic Relief: Charity Week.

These projects, outlined in the flyer, span many countries and have been carefully designed to have a lasting impact on the beneficiaries through sustainable project plans. Together, we can truly make a difference to the lives of orphans and children in need across the globe.

We are the FIRST and ONLY university representing New Jersey this year. We are also very close to reaching our goal in sha Allah (from cash, Venmo, & launchgood) but need your help to make it happen! Let's show the rest of the world what NJ Muslims are about!

Salam facebook fam! An amazing opportunity for you to support an amazing cause. Rutgers Newark has joined universities from all over the USA, Qatar, UK, Germany, Canada and South Africa to raise funds for relief efforts overseas in countries such as Palestine, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Syria. We are the first university to join from New Jersey and we're determined to have our institution be the institiution that raises the most money this year, inshaAllah!

The money raised during charity week will be pooled together to go towards one common cause of either cancer awareness, emergency care, education or healthcare- all for orphaned children. Assalamu Alaikum,

Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, Imam Omar Suleiman will be unable to make it to the event. As such, we have chosen to postpone the event. We are unsure of the rescheduled date as of now, but we will keep you updated inshaAllah. Anyone who would like a refund can request one and will be issued a full refund that will include all fees that have been paid. If you would like to keep your ticket reserved, that is okay as well, inshaAllah. We truly apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused.

We look forward to seeing you at the rescheduled event, inshaAllah.
